AN ERRAND OF GREATNESS ALAGO STUDENTS' UNION (ASU), NATIONAL BODY INAUGURATED THIRTY TWO MEN PLANNING COMMITTEES FOR HER CULTURAL FIESTA.

Alago Students' Union (Asu), National Body under the administration of Comr. Ogoshi Akoro Moses Inaugurated thirty two Men Committee to lead by Comr. Bako John Ogiri.

The Central Planning Committee was inaugurated on Saturday 14th November, 2022 with seven subcommittees Viz

1. The Central Planning Committee Chair by Comr. Bako John Ogiri.

SUBCOMMITTEES:
2. The Media and Publicity Subcommittee leading by ASU Digital and Global P.R.O Ahmad Ahmad keana.

3. USHER SUB-COMMITTEE
4. FINANCE SUB-COMMITTEE
5. SPORT SUB-COMMITTEE
6. PROTOCOL SUB-COMMITTEE
7. WORKS SUB-COMMITTEE AND
8. ENTERTAINMENT SUB-COMMITTEE

The Committee was sworn in with the spirit of togetherness and anchored by the Assistant Secretary of the Union Comr. Garkuwa Oshefo respectively.

On His Speech, the Chairman of the committees Comr. Bako John Ogiri Said on behalf of all the Members of this great and humble committee we appreciate all your gesture for having confidence in us and by Chosen the team base on Merit and commitment.

We Shall not only deliver our duty diligently but we Promise to take Alago Nation to the top-notch. Sure, we will build the legacy to the high expectations.

ACCEPTANCE SPEECH BY THE NEWLY APPOINTED CHAIRMAN OF THE ALAGO CULTURAL FIESTA ASU NATIONAL BODY ON MONDAY, NOVEMBER 14, 2022 AT THE ABACHA YOUTH CENTER LAFIA, NASARAWA STATE

On behalf of the Governing council and the entire membership of the Union Above, I thank you all for finding time to be part of the events of today.

My appreciation also goes to my colleagues in the Governing Council and of the Asu National Body for their confidence in my ability to lead them which they have expressly proclaimed appointed. I remain truly grateful to you all.

I want to note that within the period as a chairman of the committees Asu, National Body Alago cultural fiesta gave me ample opportunity to appraise and fully understand the dynamics and workings of the system.

Therefore, I consider my appointment as a call to duty; a call I am prepared for and willing to undertake. Leadership is all about shared vision and responsibility. I want to assure you that during this period, I am aware of the fact that the assignment is daunting therefore I call on all my colleagues to join me work to reflect on our past experienced, critically assess the present and look forward to the future with greater hope and enthusiasm.

We are fully aware that the there is a need for us to come together to save our people now more than ever. The our language space is shrinking and Alago as a tribe is facing greater threats; It therefore behooves on us to respond quickly to the changing dynamics of the Alago nation so that we do not go extinct in the face of the global pressures on our language. Indeed there is no better time than now to strengthen the Association and reposition it for the task ahead.

It is in the light note that I have decided to commit for this period of my chairmanship, I will do my best to address some subcommittees for better achievement.

This is in line with the theme of my chairmanship and therefore I will not hesitate to encourage our members to participate actively as they have done since the inauguration of the Committee. .

I want to restate that the Committees has and will continue to remain true to it's Body and we will ensure that the founders’ sense of purpose will be upheld by us at all times.

Ladies & Gentlemen, friends and colleagues, on behalf of the Governing Council, Asu National Body, I wish to restate our commitment to the ideals of this Union.

I am truly honoured to lead in this remarkable, rewarding, exciting and uplifting journey. I ask again for your support, encouragement, advice and prayers.

I thank most profoundly, my colleagues in the EXCOs for their confidence and faith in me. Together we will take the Alago National body to greater heights.

This is to inform the spirited and esteem members of this great Union that our Alago fathers mothers, brothers and sisters at EKYE (OTARIKPA, OTIYA, OLEGABOGYE E.T.C) DEVELOPMENT AREA, DOMA LGA are dearly in need of our assistance to caution the effect of flood that claimed: lives, took over their homes and destroyed properties worth millions of naira.
The Alago nation, through the leadership of Alago Unity Forum (AUF) have since commence contribution and donations of money, clothes, building materials, food items etc to assist them eleviate the hardship face by this natural disaster. Therefore, we call on generous minds of our Alago Students' to also support this project that will attracts blessings from the Almighty God.
It will interest us to know that our politicians can't do everything however, this is about individual salvation. It's very necessary but not compulsory.
