CELESTIAL CHURCH OF CHRIST
TOPIC: - COVENANT, S*X $ BLOOD.
SCRIPTURE: - 1 CONRITHIANS 7: 9-11.
But if they cant control themselves, they should go ahead and marry. Its better to marry than to burn with lust .Now, for those who are married I have a command that comes not from me, but from the Lord.* A wife must not leave her husband. But if she does leave him, let her remain single or else go back to him. And the husband must not leave his wife.
COVENANT:
What is covenant?
A covenant is a promise / agreement between two or group of people that involves performance and associated consideration and at the same time it may be conditional or unconditional depending on the mindset of the maker of the covenant. The Gods covenant for CELESTIAL CHURCH OF CHRIST is that the church shall cleanse the world, no condition attached whether we likes it or not.
There are two types of covenants Ordinary and Spiritual covenant. An Ordinary covenant is between individual while a Spiritual covenant is between God and man. The notable covenant in the scriptures are Adamic Covenant Genesis 2:15-17, Edenic covenant Gen.3:14-21(Curse). The Noahic Covenant. Gen. 9:11-13, Rainbow Covenant, The Abrahamic Covenant Gen. 12:1-3 The Mosaic Covenant Exodus 19:3-6, while the New covenant is Hebrew 9:12-23.
Where condition is attached to a covenant, the condition shall be rewarded with consideration when performance is established with reference to the scriptures in (Deuteronomy 28: 1- 14) to the children of the living God. This is applied to all members of Celestial Church of Christ.
COVENANT IN MARRIAGE:- It a Spiritual Covenant/mutual agreements and vows jointly made between husband and wife in the presence of God and men, that is binding on the spouses who determined to live their life together till death do them part. Meaning that nothing can separate their love except death. What the Lord has joined together let nothing under the heavens put asunder. In your vows your response were yes I do, throughout the process. JESUS come against DIVORCE (Matthew 19:9, Malachi 2:16, 1Conrithians 7: 10) yet with a clause.
BLOOD COVENANT: - This type of covenant establishes a close bond between two or more people in a relationship through the shedding of blood and there are punishment attached when breached. (Genesis 15: 9-21) Verse 18 in particular. In the Old Testament the blood of animals were used for the remission of sin and to take away punishments through sacrifices because without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins (Hebrew 9:22).
Biblically there are two covenants or agreements between God and Abram which was sealed by circumcision of the flesh (Genesis 17: 10-11) while the New covenant between God and every believer, sealed with the blood of Jesus Christ. By this covenant we were made sons and daughters of the living God, freed from the power if sins.
While the blood of the bull and goats are not worthy to remove sins, the sacred blood of Jesus was shed on the Cross of Calvary for the remission and as an atonement for the sins of the believers. Hebrew 9:14.
SPIRITUALLY:- This covenant is binding on the parties involved and any breach of such covenant will be liable to the appropriate spiritually punishment and with God there is no partiality in His judgment, God is no respecter of any person. With God there is divine implications to every covenant made while God is a covenant keeping God, man will always disappoint themselves.
EMOTIONALLY: - Covenants are supposed to be kept, to actualize the reward attached to the promises or agreements to the benefits of the parties. The feelings of these accrued goodies will motivates parties to ensure performance for the enjoyment of the considerations in the covenant.
S*X: - Is the actualization of romantic feelings that is spiritually backed up for the purpose of reproduction, ordained by God. Genesis 4: 1-2. It is also a perfect bond in a godly marriage relationship as expressed in the book of (1 Corinthians 7:3- 4. It must be practiced and enjoyed by married couples to satisfy couples emotions and feelings, while premarital s*x is regarded as fornication, please eschews it because of its spiritual implications.
In the present world people see s*x as fun and they even prefer to have with animals instead of man for the love of money. They are seeing it as money making ventures to acquire materials wealth. The medical consequences and the spiritual implications have no meaning to them, what a corrupt world. When you have s*x with anyone you are indirectly making a life covenant with him or her because there is an exchange of fluids which may metamorphosed into a living being. When it is practiced with unmarried people, unwanted pregnancy will lead to abortion which is regarded as murder case in the presence of God.
Paul Apostles stated in the book of (1Corinthians 6: 15 -19) that he that is joined with a harlot became one body with the harlot for both of them become one flesh. So if the man or woman that have s*x with you is cursed, it means you are cursed too, be careful, having an Oral s*x with someone means you are sealing up your marriage with that person with covenant.
Hebrew 13:4 Give honor to marriage, and remain faithful to one another in marriage. God will surely judge people who are immoral and those who commit adultery.
Marriage bed can be defiled when spouse are unfaithful s*xually in their relationship, but when one is not yet married, no marriage bed is defiled but its regarded as fornication which is a sin. When a married partner engaged in fornication the marriage bed is equally defiled. (Defiled bed can be referred to in three forms BED, BODY and SPIRITUAL).
People should not go into marriage if they are immature to take and observed the responsibilities involved. Therefore for you to get married please go for Marriage counselling very important.
CONCLUSION:- Covenant is more spiritual than physical because of the consequences of the breach Ecclesiastes 5:5. Better is it that thou should not vow, than that thou should vow and not pay. Covenant can be made in anywhere not necessarily in the Church/altar, wherever you made it, the third party God is present and involved in the covenant. Keep to your covenant with your spouse so that you can have a Godly marriage.

SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP IN CHURCH DEVELOPMENT.

WHAT IS SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP (MATTHEW 5: 14 )
"Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid."
Ability to influence and impact value to the life of followership, its ability to lead others according to the standard of God. God is an ultimate leader that calls us to leadership. There are two types of leadership. The Natural and the Spiritual, while the Natural leaders are those appointed or elected to lead others.
The Spiritual leaders are those chosen by God to lead. Abraham is an example of a chosen leader to become the father of all Nations. In the Garden of Eden God created Adam in His likeness and image to lead His creatures, to subdue, organized, direct and control them. Genesis 1: 26 .As an image of God Adam is to lead the creation of God. The intimate leader is God while Jesus Christ is the greatest ambassador of God and the third person of the TRINITY , God the son.
Matthew 5 : 14, Declared that you are the THE LIGHT of the world and the functions are to influence and illuminates the life of people. While as LIGHT, show the way, give instructions and lead the followership to the path of righteousness and to Plan, Organize, Direct and Control them through good ideas as a leader.The functions of the light are to expose the evil works of the darkness, to Illuminate and lead, without darkness the importance of the light will not be felt. As light we must show the way and lead, so that others could follow.
The light has to reveal secret of Satan and influence the dark world to imbibe the attributes of the light (Colossians 3:12-14). As a shepherd you are to show the light as a role model for people to emulate and lead while others follow.
YOU AS A LEADER :-Ability to manage people in order to add positive values to the lifes of the followership is the mission of a good leader.
TWO TYPES OF LEADERS.
NATURAL LEADERS: - Are elected to lead through consensus, their positions or ability and some previous performance in the society. This type of leaders are supposed to work according to the framework of goodness jointly and mutually agreed by the people.
SPIRITUAL LEADERS:- They are chosen or called by God to lead and their assignments are specifically given like that of MOSES and Pa S B J OSHOFFA in 1947.They are always influenced from the supernatural source. Always received from the Holy Spirit, rely on the commandments and instruction from God.
God always call a single person not Masses or congregation, when Celestial church was about to be born, a man was called by God PA S. B. J. Oshoffa in 1947. When God was to deliver His people Israel from the bo***ge of Egyptians, Moses was raised up to lead them out of Egypt to the Promised Land, next to Moses was Joshua to distribute the land to them. When God calls or chose people to lead He will surely give a specific assignment to each leader.
Leadership is characterized by defending integrity, attitude and behavior that are necessary to motivates others so that they can have spiritual sense of survival through their calling. Whenever God call you He will surely provide every necessary materials needed to succeed for yo support your assignment. Its ability to lead and show the way conduct, guide and direct the course of another by going along with them. They always lead by example. If you are called to lead you have no union with the work of darkness, hence you are expect to forsake all idols and have trust in God alone.
A leader is a role model and an icon that followers are looking up to, they supposed to show good example to others and they will be responsible for all action taken by them as a point of reference. All leaders must have a vision or goal and be optimistic in their mission. Ability to effect changes by taking a risk and must be a good thinker to the glory of God.
The followership of yesterday are the Leadership of today, while today servant shall definitely become the leaders of tomorrow you must serve to be served. All leaders are sacrificial lambs they must be able to take decisions that will benefit the followership and to bare their burden Romans 15: 1-3 emulate the ultimate leader, our lord Jesus Christ.

WHAT ARE THE NEED FOR SPIRITUAL LEADERS
To cater for the welfare of Gods people = Ezekiel 34:12-1.
To teach the gospel of truth = 1Timo 3:9
For guidance and decision making = Act 15:5.
To maintain orderliness = Titus 1:5
To inculcate discipline = -Romans 13: 5-6
To produce more spiritual leaders = Matthew 17:17, 2king 2 9-10.

CHARACTERISTICS OF A SPIRITUAL LEADER
There are distinct Characteristics common to leadership provided they are effective.
1, Purpose = They must be purposeful having a define purpose. = Phil.3:13- 14, John 18:37.
2 Passion - A desire to make the leader committed to the said purpose John 4 :34
3. Integrity = Pro. 11:3
4. Trust this can be earned from others
5 Must be a good thinker = Samuel 17:32.
6. Courageous = Joshua 1:7
7. Faithfulness 1 Cor. 2:4
8. Patience
9. Service= discharging his duties and responsibilities with diligence = 1 king 19:9-21
10. Loyalty = earn from people
11. Humble, Meek and must be teachable.
12. Available and accessible all the time.

QUALITIES OF SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP
@ Must be Visionary. = Must be able to see ahead others Pro. 29:18
@ Must be discipline = In Dressing, Talking, Eating, Sleeping even emotionally with self-control.
@ Must be man of wisdom and knowledgeable in handling spiritual challenges.
@ Must be sensitive to circumstances capable of polluting his visions and understand the language of the Holy Spirit. = Constant sanctification Romans 12:1
@ Faithful in holiness, prayerful and clear communicator.
@ Must be flexible to change but strict to his decision.
@ Must be able to carry others along and consider peoples opinion. TEAM work.
@, Not bossy but optimistic to achieve goal.
@ Must lead by example and able to delegate authority with responsibility.
@ Man of high integrity and confidentiality. A good modest for people to emulate.
@ Motivational and able to resolve conflict as at when necessary.
A good leader is always ready to discuss issues for effective conclusion and decision making. The purpose and vision of a good leader is constantly and repeatedly review for proper understanding so that the set goal is achieved. He will always accept fault and take responsibility when mistakes are made irrespective of the source of the fault whether through delegated authority or not. A good leader must be able to correct the followership in love and necessary instructions for better performance. A good leader do not run his assistance down in the presence of the followership hence there will be no respect for the assistance.
There are five important qualities of a good leadership in a good setup environment of God. However, while good leaders have a variety of styles and personalities, there are some traits that all great leaders share.
In this article well cover 5 essential qualities of a good leader:
Communication
Vision
Empathy
Accountability
Gratitude
Communication: - The bed rock a successful organization is communication ability to pass information instructions and ideas to the followership without prejudice having periodical meetings to give progressive report of the performance of the people. In some cases it may be one on one regular discussions for creative ideas and development. Information is paramount if you are not informed you will be deformed.
Vision: - Vision provides focus, motivation, and direction to move through changes and obstacles. What his purpose? What goal his trying to reach—as an individual, team, in general.
Good leaders have a clear vision and are able to articulate the path forward to their team.
Leaders should be able to connect the work on ground to the bigger picture and provide reasons behind everything they do. Leaders who can do this help followership to understand and align their work strategically and engage with their work more meaningfully.
Show empathy.
Empathy is the ability to perceive and relate to the thoughts and experiences of others. Leaders who operate from a place of empathy, understanding, and compassion establish stronger connections among their followership and improve performance across the board.
Empathetic leadership can take many forms, but there are a few ways you can demonstrate empathy in your day-to-day management:
Look for and recognize signs of employee burnout. Empathetic leaders have a skill for recognizing when people are over-stressed or overworked and intervening to prevent it.
Show sincere interest in your followership personal lives. In other words, good leaders treat their people and recognize their individuality and unique contributions. Get to know your followers on a personal level and show genuine interest in their hobbies, needs, and goals.
Support your followers outside of work. Attend events that are important to them, like birthdays, sporting events, or performances. Showing support for your team outside of work settings demonstrates you care and strengthens your personal connections with your members.
Accountability.
Good leaders hold themselves accountable and are always working to improve and progress. They are never satisfied with the status quo. Accountability and continual improvement require a commitment to seeking and acting on feedback, learning from mistakes, and course correcting.
Accountability includes communicating plans, setting expectations, and following up on promised actions. Good leaders hold themselves and their teams accountable so that everyone is on the same page and can rely on one another to get the job done. When accountability is modeled from the top, everyone improves.
Accountability strengthens culture, inspires excellence, sets expectations, and builds trust—not only in leadership but among the team.
Gratitude
A grateful leader is a powerful leader. Gratitude breeds positive interactions and connection, increases engagement, and builds flexibility
Grateful leaders understand that success is a team effort and they make sure to recognize the work and contributions of their team.
Good leaders make a point of showing gratitude and recognizing the work of their followers by:
Complimenting team daily
Celebrating wins
Listening to their feedback and addressing needs
Acknowledging their contributions in private and in public
Leaders who practice gratitude in small and big ways can make a meaningful impact on follower engagement. Good leadership is more than just managing tasks and tracking performance. Leadership means going ahead and paving the way for his team through instructions and ideas and at the same time exhibiting the attitudes of a bishop or a spiritual leader as stated in the book of 1st Timothy 3:2-5.
EXAMPLE OVER POLICY.
A good leader always led by example, not by policy. When he leads others follows and take after him. Policy were made to guide sets of rules for better result. Policy may be waved to give room for better performance because policies were made by man.
INSPIRATION OVER INSTRUCTIONS
A good leader must understand the process and mentally stimulate others for effective instructions that will enhance better performance. He must inspire people to be creative and bring useful idea for progress.
SIMPLICITY
Is the nature of a good leader, not too hard to relate with in terms of discussion. Complexity is not his nature and not bossy usually welcome peoples opinion and takes advice of others to achieve his dream.

SATISFACTION
Encouragement to perform exceedingly well is the root of satisfaction in the organization, he must have his mind on long term value and not the short term result but what will be the set goal.
A good leader always exhibit the above qualities in order to achieve his specific assignment in the vine yard and to be successful in his calling.

GOD’S COVENANT FOR SIDE MEN /SIDE WOMEN IN CELESTIAL CHURCH.

The Celestial church setting comprises of different arms and sub-arms for the perfection of the work of This is clearly stated in Ephesians 4: 11-12 And he gave some, Apostles; and some, Prophets; and some, Evangelists; and some, Pastors and Teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of ChriAmongst the sub branches are choristers, sidemen and side women etc. They are called usher in other denominations but we know them in Yoruba language as ADENA not Onibode as some people address them.We shall be discussing ‘’ ADENA’’ as today’s topic.
The question now is that who is “ADENA” in the Celestial setting?2 Chronicles 23: 19, 1Chronicles 23: 5. And he set the porters at the gates of the house of the Lord, that none which was unclean in anything should enter in. Moreover four thousand were porters; and four thousand praised the Lord with the instruments which I {Read in Yoruba}They are the elects of God whowork in the house of the Lord, for the enforcement of God’s laws and policies in order to ensure sanity in the church of God. As Aaron and the Levites were elected so are the ADENAS.God made a covenant of blessings with the Choir that sings in the house of God, so and more is that of ADENA, they also have God’s blessing when they perform their duties faithfully as directed by God. They have to take instruction. In heaven, Orderliness is next to godliness and angels are the law enforcement agents likewise is the responsibility of the ADENA in the Church.They also stand as the soldiers of Christ in the spiritual deliverance of the afflicted people, meaning that they are anointed to proclaim liberty to captives, and pray for the opening ofprisons to those that are bound;Isaiah 61: 1. The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings untoarted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and thFor clarity, ADENA are enlisted to stand at the gate in the house of God while ONIBODE are the Customs at the entrance to a city or a nation border. {Revelation 21:11-12, 22: 14, Romans 13: 7}.

THE DUTIES OF SIDEMEN / SIDEWOMEN – ADENA

The duties of ADENA are found in the book of 1Chronicles 9: 22-29.1. They are to keep the gate of the church and ensure that nothing unclean enters into it because God is HOLY. {Verse: 22, 2Chronicles 23: 19}.
2. They safe keep the treasures of the house of God and they are the maintenance officers andcustodian of God’s properties. The cleanliness of the church vessels such as chairs, tables, the Altar and all instruments needed for Sunday services and other important services must be purely taken care of and its surroundings is the responsibilities of the ADENA’S. [ 1st Chr. 9: 26.]

3. They are in charge of the gates of the house of God day and night, they should lodge in the Church Vicarage because they are to open and close the gate as at when necessary. [Verse 27].

4. They are in charge of ministering the vessels; they ensure it isclean and pure for the use of the shepherd and the church in general. verse 28

5. They are to oversee the vessels of Holy Communion materials required for offerings, incense, perfume or frankincense, tithe- box, and all the instruments of the sanctuary. [Verse. 29].

6. The incense, church oil and even the preparation of the Holy communion with the directives of the sh services,

7. Being a trust worthy persons, they are spiritually appointed and anointedto serve in the altar of God and saddled with the responsibilities of collection of offerings.

8. Maintenance of laws and order in the churchand can send any lawless individuals and group out of theeyes to all activities in the church to prevent anIn Celestial Church of Christ “ADENAS” have the right to discipline members that are unruly or misbehave, check people during services, and can send noise makers out of the church.
They have the right to every part of the church in other to bring sanity to the service of God. No matter the rank of such a member he or she must obey the laws .
During church services they are not supposed to close their eyes when praying so that they can caution members that misbehaves. They should pray in their spirits. They must make sure that the premises of the church are perfectly clean all the time and at the same time caution people not to litter the environment because the sanctuary must be clean.
The covenant of God for the sidemen and women are numerous for they are the law enforcement agents that guarantee holy worship. In as much as they are the custodians of the rules and laws of God, the covenant in [Deuteronomy 28 : 1 – 14, Leviticus 26:3 -12 ] are all for ADENAS.
All the above goodies arefor those who serve faithfully in their respective posts and they will receive their rewards.
Ephesians 6: 8 Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man does, the same shall he received of the Lord, whether he be bond or free. I know that whatever accrue to the members of Celestial church of Christ, the same are for the ADENAS, I pray that at the end we shall all be counted worthy of the everlasting GLORY OF GOD IN JESUS.

BRIEF SERMON ANALYSIS

GIVING RIGHT

*EXODUS 23:16-22*
*2 CORINTHIANS 9:5-10*

Hallelujah

It is common knowledge that giving attract blessings. Even unbelievers understand the need to give, to be favoured in return. We give our time, money and ideas to our jobs and businesses in order to have a reward of money as salary or profit after sometime.

However, it is not enough to just give but to do it right because giving can be done rightly or wrongly. It can be done in either a godly or ungodly way. Those who give the ungodly way will get the ungodly results. A typical woman may give her body in exchange for money and truly get the money but such actions will not attract the blessings of God and diminish her fruit of righteousness, if it ever existed.

1 Corinthians 13:3 will make us understand better by quoting that; “I may give away everything I have, and even give up my body to be burned—but if I have no love, this does me no good.”

As such, today’s lessons admonishes us on giving rightly and there are seven major indicators to note.

1.CHEERFULNESS:

“Celebrate the Harvest Festival when you begin to harvest your crops.”

Our giving must come with cheerfulness. Anything you are not happy doing will not attract God’s blessing. If you have to be coerced or forced to do something, then most likely, it is not from the bottom of your heart. More than just our actions, God rewards us based on the state of the heart. If you have to give rightly, then it must be done cheerfully.

2.WORSHIP:

“Every year at these three festivals all your men must come to worship me, the Lord your God.”

Giving should come with a sense of worship. True worship is about appreciating God by living a holy life and also provide a service to humanity (James 1:27). Jesus was on earth for the purpose of service to humanity. If the centrality of our worship isn't to make life better in the holy sense of it, even as prepare souls for a far more better after-life, then our sense of giving can never be right.

3.HUMILITY/SOLEMNITY:

"Do not offer bread made with yeast when you sacrifice an animal to me.

Yeast makes a dough look larger in size than what it actually constitutes. When you give with a sense of pride or superiority, then your sense of giving cannot be right. You are only privileged to be richer, wiser, more spiritual, more knowledgeable or in other things that you have an advantage over the other person. For this reason, you must always give with a sense of humility to give right.

4.FRESHNESS/PROMPTNESS:

“The fat of animals sacrificed to me during these festivals is not to be left until the following morning.”

What ever you have the ability to do to help others, do it promptly while it is most needed. Fifty naira given in a time of need will be appreciated than five thousand naira given when the need has expired. The food that people can eat and be satisfied, why keep it until it gets spoilt and you then have to throw it away. Give while it is fresh and useful.

5.PRIORITIZING GOD:

"Each year bring to the house of the LORD your God the first grain that you harvest.

One of such ways we can prioritize God in our giving is to support His work and those who are committed to it. It doesn’t necessarily have to be so much, preferably ten percent of your earning, should be committed first and foremost to the advancement of the work of God.

6.DUE CONSIDERATION:

“Do not cook a young sheep or goat in its mother's milk.”

Giving rightly also requires due consideration. You should not steal, defraud, cheat or commit immorality just in a bid to give. Separating a young animal from the mother in order to give to God was condemned just to indicate that giving should also come with a sense of morality.

7.SPIRITUAL GUIDANCE:

"I will send an angel ahead of you to protect you as you travel and to bring you to the place which I have prepared.”

The angel indicated here has a role similar to the function of the Holy Spirit to believers and this should guide our sense of giving. It is not every form of giving that is right. Imagine you giving money to a smoker that he can smoke more or to a lazy person and encouraging him/her to be more lazy. It definitely doesn’t serve right. Spiritual guidance is therefore so necessary to giving right.

In conclusion, the best thing we can give to God is our lives. In this wise, it simply means we allow Him to guide our thoughts, decisions and actions. This is the best way we can learn to give right and our fruits of righteous may greatly increase. Working with these seven principles can help us address our sense of giving to be made right such that we can indeed increase the fruit of our righteousness as we receive great rewards on earth and a far more greater and everlasting reward in God’s kingdom.

TOPIC: GODS COVENANT FOR SIDE MEN /SIDE WOMEN IN CELESTIAL CHURCH.
The Celestial church setting comprises of different arms and sub-arms for the perfection of the work of Salvation. This is clearly stated in Ephesians 4: 11-12 And he gave some, Apostles; and some, Prophets; and some, Evangelists; and some, Pastors and Teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
Amongst the sub branches are choristers, sidemen and side women etc. They are called usher in other denominations but we know them in Yoruba language as ADENA not Onibode as some people address them.
We shall be discussing ADENA as todays topic. The question now is that who is “ADENA” in the Celestial setting?
2 Chronicles 23: 19, 1Chronicles 23: 5. And he set the porters at the gates of the house of the Lord, that none which was unclean in anything should enter in. Moreover four thousand were porters; and four thousand praised the Lord with the instruments which I made, said David, to praise therewith. {Read in Yoruba}
They are the elects of God who work in the house of the Lord, for the enforcement of Gods laws and policies in order to ensure sanity in the church of God. As Aaron and the Levites were elected so are the ADENAS.
God made covenant of blessings with the Choir that sings in the house of God, so and more is that of ADENA, they also have Gods blessing when they perform their duties faithfully as directed by God. They have to take instructions from the Priest and Levites. In heaven, Orderliness is next to godliness and angels are the law enforcement agents likewise is the responsibility of the ADENA in the Church.
They also stand as the soldiers of Christ in the spiritual deliverance of the afflicted people, meaning that they are anointed to proclaim liberty to captives, and pray for the opening of prisons to those that are bound; Isaiah 61: 1. The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
For clarity, ADENA are enlisted to stand at the gate in the house of God while ONIBODE are the Customs at the entrance to a city or a nation border. {Revelation 21:11-12, 22: 14, Romans 13: 7}.
THE DUTIES OF SIDEMEN / SIDEWOMEN — ADENA
The duties of ADENA are found in the book of 1Chronicles 9: 22-29.
They are to keep the gate of the church and ensure that nothing unclean enters into it because God is HOLY. {Verse: 22, 2Chronicles 23: 19}.
They safe keep the treasures of the house of God and they are the maintenance officers and custodian of Gods properties. The cleanliness of the church vessels such as chairs, tables, the Altar and all instruments needed for Sunday services and other important services must be purely taken care of and its surroundings is the responsibilities of the ADENAS. [ 1st Chr. 9: 26.]
They are in charge of the gates of the house of God day and night, they should lodge in the Church Vicarage because they are to open and close the gate as at when necessary. [Verse 27].
They are in charge of ministering the vessels; they ensure it is clean and pure for the use of the shepherd and the church in general. verse 28
They are to oversee the vessels of Holy Communion materials required for offerings, incense, perfume or frankincense, tithe- box, and all the instruments of the sanctuary. [Verse. 29].
The incense, church oil and even the preparation of the Holy communion with the directives of the shepherd in charge and cleaning of the vessels after services,
Being a trust worthy persons, they are spiritually appointed and anointed to serve in the altar of God and saddled with the responsibilities of collection of offerings and counting of monies after collections.
Maintenance of laws and order in the church and can send any lawless individuals and group out of the church as at when demanded. They must open their eyes to all activities in the church to prevent any unruly behavior.

In Celestial Church of Christ “ADENAS” have the right to discipline members that are unruly or misbehave, check people during services, and can send noise makers out of the church. They have the right to every part of the church in other to bring sanity to the service of God. No matter the rank of such a member he or she must obey the instructions of the sidemen.
During church services they are not supposed to close their eyes when praying so that they can caution members that misbehaves. They should pray in their spirits. They must make sure that the premises of the church are perfectly clean all the time and at the same time caution people not to litter the environment because the sanctuary must be clean.
The covenant of God for the sidemen and women are numerous for they are the law enforcement agents that guarantee holy worship. In as much as they are custodians of the rules and laws of God, the covenant in [Deuteronomy 28 : 1 — 14, Leviticus 26:3 -12 ] are all for ADENAS
All the above goodies are for those who serve faithfully in their respective posts and they will receive their rewards
Ephesians 6: 8 Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.
I know that whatever accrues to the members of Celestial church of Christ, the same are for the ADENAS, I pray that at the end we shall all be counted worthy of the everlasting GLORY OF GOD IN JESUS NAME.
