Abdulkadir Kure University, Minna (AKUM) has initiated discussions with Praxis Educational Agency on a strategic 2+2 international programme and scholarship collaboration. The proposed partnership will provide students and staff with opportunities for further studies in China, as well as joint academic programmes.
The leader of the delegation, Ms. Britain Liu, noted that the collaboration will enable students to begin their studies at AKUM and complete them in China, while also benefiting from scholarship opportunities.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mohammed Aliyu Paiko, welcomed the initiative and reiterated the Universityโs commitment to partnerships that promote innovation, particularly in ICT, engineering, environmental studies, and allied health sciences. He also emphasized the need for practical-based learning in line with global standards.
The meeting also featured a proposal to establish a Mandarin Institute at AKUM, with both parties expressing optimism about formalizing the collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
