Stop Praying to God for Jobs, God does not give Jobs - Rev Fr. Kelvin Ugwu

Almost everything people pray and fast for can be traced to the failure of government/leadership in their countries.

People pray to God for a job. No! God does not give jobs, government does.

People pray for admission into schools and promotion at work. No! God does not give promotion or admission, government does.

People pray to have cars, houses, visas, etc. No! God does not give houses, nor cars, nor visas. . . Government does. Your colleagues in the Western world don't say those prayers. . . Why?

People pray for good health. This is a good prayer, but it is relative. If you don't eat a balanced diet, you will have kwashiorkor. If you drink bad water, you will have typhoid. If you don't see food to eat, you will have an ulcer. If you get bitten by mosquitoes, you will have Malaria. If there is no hospital to give you good medicine, you will die. Even missionaries that came to bring the good news, most died of malaria. It is not about abracadabra. Even as missionaries, God did not save them from dying of malaria. So you see, everything is still the government.

With good governance, road accidents will drastically reduce. Hospitals will be better managed. The Big Brother Naija housemate that died of an accident, did you not watch how the people were even making videos of him when he was unconscious and in need of urgent medical assistance? Did you see the doctors and nurses acting like it is an emergency? Go to National Hospital Abuja, or Specialists Gwagwalada, the story is the same.

I do not know about you, but go and check the number of those registering for IELTS, GRE, TOEFL. Check those in immigration, looking for a passport. Check those in embassies queuing every day looking for visas. They all want to leave the country. Why?

Your Doctors are all leaving the country. Everyone is leaving. There is no light. The traffic is crazy. Everyone is a law. This is why the popular word in Nigeria as of now is Japa.

Why are Americans not Japa-ing?
Why are the British people not Japa-ing?
Even South Africans don't Japa. . .

But Why you? Why always you?

Simple, your country is totally messed up.

Yet you have not collected your PVC. You are even planning to vote based on tribe or religion and not based on competence. And you think you are doing me? You want to vote for rechargeable candidates so they will be traveling with your money to recharge their batteries and come back to tell you to shut up?

Do whatever you want to do, but don’t take sides with your oppressors.

When you start making efforts towards advancing your life, it will get lonely, it will be hard, that's because you are leaving your comfort zone and doing things you've never done before.

But that shouldn't discourage you, with time you will start making progress and seeing the rewards of your efforts, only to the degree that you don't give up before the results begin to come.

Endure the process, you will enjoy the success.

For at the end of the fight, there is always light, at the end of the struggles, there is peace. In the end, everything will be alright, if it's not alright, it's not the end, keep pushing, keep striving, stay true, until your dreams come through.

No matter how hard things become, never back down. Always choose growth over comfort every single time, and never forget why you started.

You have gone too far to give up now.

It takes courage to leave your comfort zone, it takes courage to go after your dreams, it takes courage to live a life worth remembering. It's very easy to die, it takes courage to live.

It takes courage to grow and become all you are destined to be, it takes courage to embrace the possibilities of your potential, it takes courage to go after what you desire. It's very easy to stop, it takes courage to keep climbing until you reach the top.

It takes courage to look at your failures and still choose to try again, it takes courage to meet with fierce opposition and still choose to fight, it takes courage to endure pain, and choose to be strong. It's very easy to fall, it takes courage to stand.

If you have tried and met with defeat, If you have planned and watched your plans fail, If you have given your all and again you lost,
Remember that the great men and women who have lived before us were all products of courage.

Courage doesn't mean you don't get afraid, it means you don't let your fear stop you.

You can't swim for new horizons until you have the courage to lose sight of the shore. You can't become all you are destined to be until you have the courage to leave where you used to be.

All you want in life is on the other side of fear,
You need courage to go after it and possess it.

Go out into the world, start living. Face your fears, fight your battles, it's time to conquer, that's what you are made for, that's why you are here.

In a world full of fear and doubts, it takes courage to stand out.

Make every moment count. They may look small compared to the full span of your life,
But when you add up every single moment of each day, they become your life.

Make the most of every moment. Sometimes you will never know the true value of these moments until they become memories, memories worth remembering or memories you wish are erased forever, based on how you live today.

Life isn't only about great accomplishments but also great memories. You can't always wait for the perfect moment, but you can make the present moment as perfect as you want it to be by how you choose to live it now.

Put your best into each moment of every day, and create memories that you will be glad to remember, and those who experienced them with you will look back with a smile.

You are usually tempted to think you have all the time in the world, but you don't. You can never tell when you will breathe your last breath, and your time on earth will over, but you can live the world with something to remember, the beautiful moments you created, the lives you touched in these moments, and the joy that wells up in the heart of people when they remember these brief but impactful moments.

Life is short, there's so little time. Realize deeply that the present moment is all you have in your hands, the next isn't guaranteed, so make the most of them as they come.

Beyond adding years to your life, remember to add life to your years, beyond just going through each moment, remember to let each moment go through you, by adding beauty to them and creating something that will be worth remembering.

The meaning of life is to live a life of meaning, a life committed to greater purpose, a life that transcends mere existence, a life that matters, a life that truly counts.

Regardless of how difficult the path may seem, there will be mountains you will have to climb, battles you will have to fight, oceans you will have to cross, but stay true to the path of destiny.

Do not seat down and be looking

Only dead people don't have expectations. As long as you are connected to the living, you have hope, things can change, so live every day of your life with great expectations.

What do you want from life? What do you want to become? Where do you want to be? What do you want to have? Whatever you can think of, it can become a reality. Believe me, it's possible!

It can take a long time, it can cost more than you expect, it can stretch you beyond your current capacity, but in the end, it will happen, if you truly desire it, if you strongly expect it.

A life without an expectation or something to hope for is not worth living. You had the confidence to sleep last night, because you strongly believe and expect to wake up this morning, now that you are awake, why should you stop expecting even greater things to happen for you?

If you can get your expectation as regards waking up, you can get your expectations as regards the kind of life you desire.

Most times, we stop expecting because we've been disappointed, we stop desiring things because we've not had anything, but your past experience shouldn't define your present possibilities and your future aspirations.

God created you for a purpose, He has a great future and glorious destiny for you, He has promised to give you the desire of your heart, and that your expectation will not be cut short.

With that belief in your heart, expect something great is coming for you, expect success, expect the best out of life, expect things will work out for your good, expect all that you lay your hands to do will prosper, expect your dreams will come through, and it surely will.

Today, increase your goals, dream bigger, fuel those desires, increase your expectations, stop settling for less. As far as you can see, you can have, as big as you can think, you can become.

It's a great day to expect something great.

Don't despise what is in your hands and think God will give you what's in your heart. Don't look down on what you have and think you will get what you need.

The answer to the big things you are hoping for is in managing the little things you have before you.

God wants to bless you but He needs you to be faithful, the more faithful you are, the more blessings you will have, the more you complain, the less you will obtain.

God is more committed to providing for you than you are. Everything in the world is His. Even beyond what you can think or imagine, He is ready to give you, only be faithful.

If you are not faithful with little, you can never be faithful with more, if you can't make the most of what is in your hands, you will waste what's coming.

Make the most of the little things you have, and God will provide for the bigger things you need even before you ask.

I'm who I'm

If you keep trying to prove to people who you are, then you are probably not who you claim to be. Others' approval or disapproval of you shouldn't affect who you are if you are really you.

If you truly know who you are, you lose the desire to always try to prove a point. Don't be too bothered by what others think of you, if you are truly you, soon others will find that to be true because time always reveals all things.

What is real is real, it doesn't have to say it to be real, regardless of how anyone feels, real will always be real.

The most important part of you is within not without. What people see without is a reflection of who you are within.

You can fake it for a long time, but in the end, sometimes under pressure, your true self reveals itself.

You must learn to be you at all times and be at peace with it. Stop trying to prove you are happy, just be. Stop trying to prove you are great, just be.

The most powerful person in the world is the one who has nothing to prove. JUST BE YOU!
