*Clifford University Says THANK YOU: Honouring Every Hand That Made ASTESF 2025 Remarkable*
On behalf of the Clifford University community, we extend our profound appreciation to everyone who contributed to the success of our participation in the 1st Abia State Tertiary Education Sports Fiesta (ASTESF), held from 25th-29th November 2025.
This maiden edition was a significant milestone for Clifford University. Our athletes delivered an inspiring performance that earned us a total of 13 medals, placing Clifford University 9th overall out of 16 competing institutions. Our official medal breakdown stands as follows: 4 Gold, 3 Silver, and 6 Bronze medals across various sporting events. These achievements highlight our dedication to excellence and the resilient spirit of our athletes.
To the University Management, staff, and volunteers, we express our heartfelt gratitude. Your support, logistics coordination, and unwavering presence were instrumental in making our ASTESF experience smooth, organized, and successful. The foundation of every victory we recorded rests on your commitment and guidance.
To our coaches and sports coordinators, thank you for your expertise, tireless efforts, and strategic leadership. In a special way, Clifford University celebrates Coach Kalu Idika for your tactical brilliance and commitment to athlete development. We also deeply appreciate Dr. K.T. Nwala for your invaluable support, mentorship, and continuous encouragement throughout the preparation and competition phases.
Our sincere appreciation also goes to Mr. Samuel Nsirim, Esq., for your leadership and administrative coordination, as well as Mr. Orji Emmanuel and Mr. Ugwunna Ugwuala for your steadfast dedication and active involvement. Your collective contributions strengthened our performance and inspired our athletes.
To our exceptional athletes, your courage, discipline, and determination brought pride to Clifford University. You competed with honour, upheld sportsmanship, and demonstrated that teamwork and resilience always produce remarkable outcomes.
To our students, alumni, families, and supporters, your cheers, goodwill messages, and moral support energized our athletes throughout the competition. You reminded us that Clifford University is not only an institution of learning but a vibrant and united community.
We also acknowledge and appreciate the organizers of ASTESF for providing a meaningful platform that promotes healthy competition, youth development, and inter-institutional collaboration across Abia State.
