For past days and till now, there has been gbas gbos at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU) following a heated disagreement between the Students’ Union Government (SUG) and campus tricycle (keke) operators...

According to reports, the SUG has maintained that the official transport fare remains ₦150, warning students not to pay anything above the approved amount...

However, the keke operators have strongly disagreed, citing the high cost of fuel and maintenance, insisting that the ₦150 fare is no longer sustainable...

*As the situation escalated:*

🔵 Some operators allegedly withdrew their services, causing a shortage of keke on campus..
🔵 Others were said to have increased fares unofficially..

*This has left many students:*

🔵 Stranded at various points..
🔵 Trekking long distances..
🔵 Confused about the actual transport fare..

*The situation has since sparked reactions across campus, with mixed opinions:*

👉 Some students believe the SUG is protecting their interests..
