EVERLASTING INHERITANCE TO OUR CHILDREN

MAN-AMONG TRANSFORMATION SERIES

AN EVERLASTING INHERITANCE TO OUR CHILDREN BEFORE LEAVING THE EARTH:
CONCEPT FROM THINK AND GROW RICH

Permit me to borrow a concept from a book titled “Think and Grow Rich, and I will present this extract as it was produced by a man of uncommon knowledge.

Aside from the bible, second only to the bible, I have been thoroughly blessed and transformed by the industry we called the Personal Development industry. Hallelujah, where we have men and women who have been able to shape our philosophy and approach to life.

One of the stories that come very readily to mind was the story of a wealthy man arguably the first billionaire recorded in the United State of America when they became a nation by name Andrew Carnegie. Listen very carefully, Andrew Carnegie was a very successful man, history would tell us.

And then one time it was said that he felt very disappointed that many of the wealthy people within his class and the blessed people and the great people were going to their graves and were never transferring the truth that made them wealthy and great.

And other people who were failures or average people were just spectators and did not really know the secrets that control that level of excellence. And then he got a young man that many of you may have known or heard called Napoleon Hill.

A young man in his twenties, history would tell us, and a young journalist, he gave him an assignment. Listen to me carefully… the assignment was that I would give you letters of recommendations. Go and meet every one of these great and successful people. And I want you to interview all of them one by one. Piece together all their philosophies and put it together in a concise format.

So that when we are long gone, we will be able to live our convictions, for the generation that comes and Napoleon Hill took on that journey and for a period of about six(6) years there…. He went about interviewing all the greatest and brightest of the minds at that time and came together with thirteen (13) principles captured in a book that many of you have heard about called, "Think and Grow Rich”.

That was the product of that research, vetting and interviewing all of these bright minds. What philosophy did they honour to have produced such an excelling life? Hallelujah, when I read that story many years ago, it was so instructive. Listen to me. You will never reproduce a man’s result until you are able to reproduce his philosophies, his belief system and his convictions. Never forget this.

No wonder that the bible says, let this mind be in you. You want to become like Jesus in experience, you need to find out his convictions, his philosophies, and his mindset. The first and most important transfer that needs to happen from one generation to another is not physical things. The transference of mindset, the transference of conviction, the transference of philosophies and the transference of beliefs. Believe me, the bible says for as he thinketh in his heart, so is he… is that in your bible?

That means if something is wrong in your life, I have taught you that your physical environment is a reflection of the quality of your thinking and philosophies.

Unfortunately, those who desire to receive from great men are not interested in receiving their convictions. They don’t focus on their minds to put together the quality of their thinking…THEY ARE SELFISH… But Please look up and hear these;
• What do you believe about God?
• What do you believe about Satan?
• What do you believe about failure?
• What do you believe about success?
• What do you believe about excellence?
• What do you believe about wealth?
• What do you believe about poverty
• What do you believe about challenges?
• What do you believe about victory?

These are the summation and these philosophies will frame your mindset and inevitably translate into the results that you have.

You can have two men of God, who love God sincerely, mentored under the same father or the same mentor but you will find out that their result becomes different. Impact is there. Several other things are there. But one may be interested in learning more than just physical things.

For one he may be interested in holding the mic and making news, the other one to study. This is very powerful. So the first gift, please hear me. Any father here. Any parent, leader, business man and man of God. In thinking succession, the first gifts you can give your child and should give your children are a summation of your conviction.
What made you great?
What did you do?
Why did you do it?
What do you believe?
What have you come to hold through that has translated into excelling life?

That is the first gift you should give to your child, not material things. But unfortunately they are many children that pride themselves with cars, houses and designer clothes. Nothing is wrong with that, except that their lives are empty like that of the prodigal son. Because the prodigal son had physical things but no convictions.

Are you seeing that? When the elder brother wanted to be sad the father said noooooo! Don’t feel bad. There is something that gentleman didn’t ask for. He asked for physical things. But there are other things that I have. One of them being my convictions. I was not born like this. So find out what I believed to be what I am today.

Let me tell you this, every parent here I challenge you and every father and every leader, make sure that you do not go to your grave without capturing and preserving your philosophies and beliefs in the most concise way. Give it to your child as a gift and you truly gave him an inheritance.

Hallelujah…! Your conviction, the first gift that must be transferred from one generation to another. Now please look up, do you know why there are so many people who are poor and mediocre. Sorry I am not talking about finances. But just to borrow a concept.

When a poor man, poor then meaning a description not an insult. When a poor man sees a wealthy man, the first thing he looks at is his pocket and not his mind. You know a poor man not just by the absence of resources but by his passion to see what is in the box.

Poor people admire physical things, the gilts and the glamor that come with great men. But any mind that wants to rise is focused on the mentality. What do you know and what do you understand?

Let me challenge therefore that in your quest to live an excellent and excelling life or to create succession to your result. The first thing you should look at are men and women whose minds are open and malleable to receive, not people whose hands are free to receive.

People whose minds are ready to receive……

EFFECTIVE USE OF THE DIARY TOWARDS THE DEVELOPMENT OF A SCHOOL

All the units and sections of the diary must be filled and assessed as stated in the Education Law/ policy….>>>∆∆∆

Instructions to the teachers:
The diary is a statutory record book which must always be kept up-to-date. Each arm of a class must have a diary for keeping records of all items listed under its content page. Each class teacher must read and understand the instructions which follow. If the teacher has a firm grasp of these instructions, marking the entries of the diary will be a very pleasurable exercise.

Scheme of work:
A scheme of work should be drawn up for each subject listed in the content page.

The scheme of work should be drawn up by a subject specialist and, where possible, by a subject panel.

What ought to be taught in a year should be divided into three(3) groups, one group for each term. The group for each term should be divided into weekly.

The following headings may be used in writing the weekly units of work/ note of lesson:
Week:(i.e. week proposed for learning some amount of topics/contents)
Topics
Contents (these may be one or more depending on what can be covered in a week
Performance objectives
Activities (measures to be applied or used in achieving the objectives)
Evaluation (assignment, projects & practical work). Use to assess or test whether objectives have been achieved.

The scheme of work should be entered into the diary by the subject teacher. It may also be typed and pasted.

Weekly record of work:

The subjects are already listed, just as in the scheme of work.
By the end of each school week, each subject teacher should record, in brief outline, what an arm of the class has been taught for that week.
The weekly record of work helps the teacher to know how much of the scheme of work has been covered at any point in time. If a teacher withdraws from the school abruptly, the weekly record of work assists the new subject teacher to know what the former teacher has taught, and to determine where to start. The weekly record of work is therefore a very important and useful exercise.

List of pupils'/ Students' textbooks:

The list of textbooks used by the Students should be entered by the subject teachers.
The supervising Ministry of Education always recommends to Schools, a list of pupils'/ students' textbooks after appraisal bybtge appropriate subject panels
Each school should select from the list, the appropriate number of pupils/ student textbooks.
The textbook should be such that cover most of the topics in the syllabus, should be easily available and affordable.
The subject teacher should enter the titles of the selected students'/ pupils' textbooks and any subsidiary materials such as Mathematical sets, rulers, etc…

List of teacher's textbooks:

The should enter the titles of the main books for teaching each subject. Also, the reference books available to the teacher should be listed.

Examination results:

Three examinations are taken in one school year. That is, one examination in each term.

Teachers and students/pupils must be serious with all tests and examinations, and obey all the rules and regulations. It must be emphasized that examination malpractice, whether aiding or abetting, is a very grievous offence which carries statutory corporal punishment.

The examination scoree of students should be entered by the class teacher into the examination result sheet as soon as the subject teachers submit such results.

The Principal or Headteacher' Report should deal with improvement in the performance of the pupils/ Students in each subject. The reoprt should aim at helping the subject teachers to determine how best pupils performance can be enhanced.

Calculation

Students % average = the total score of Students/ the maximum score obtainable X 100

% Class average = the sum of the total scores of all students/ number of students X maximum score obtainable

OR

The sum of all the students % average / number of students

Affective and Psychomotor traits:

Affective and Psychomotor traits may not be easily measured, like testing performance in subjects. However, these traits are observable. Affective traits concern Students' character and behaviour while Psychomotor traits concern Students' skills.

Affective and Psychomotor traits should be carefully observed and weekly ratings made, using a standard key. At the end of the twrn, the weekly ratings should be totalled, and the average determined, and recorded termly in the appropriate Continuous Assessment Report.

Thank you and God bless

03/10/2022

Dear Parents/Guardians,

It has come to our notice that some pupils/students intentionally stay back from school on Fridays just to avoid being examined.

The essence of presentations on Friday is to test the abilities and understanding of the pupils/students in different subjects and also to evaluate the teachers. But if a child stays back just to avoid being tested with what he/she has been taught, no one will know if he/she is doing well and neither will the management know if teachers are functioning well in their duties.

Hence, parents/guardians are expected to call in and inform either the class teacher or the head teacher/principal that such person won't be in school with concrete reasons else such pupil(s)/student(s) will be disciplined.

The teachers are here to impart knowledge into your wards and we expect them to be well equipped in all ramifications.

Thanks for your understanding and cooperation. God bless you and have a fruitful October.

*LASTEST UPDATES FROM GREYSONS ACADEMY*

💓💓❤️❤️❤️💓💓💓💓❤️❤️
*Hello wonderful Parents and Staff, I want to believe it's good with us….*

Permit me to clear the air on our last update and also to let us know that the group shall be open from Tomorrow Friday 16th September, 2022 for our constructive & wise contribution for the new Academic Session…

Before I proceed, let me state here that the subjects combination you see on the image is strictly for SS2 but also, we want to explore your contribution as whether to integrate same into SS1

✓✓✓✓✓✓[[[[✓✓✓∆∆∆∆∆∆
Well, we've had issues where parents approach the school to inform the management that the school should allow their children to major in either Science or Arts. Some have even chosen careers/ professions for their children…..

*Some are of the opinion that all SS1* students should be allowed to offer all the subjects in both Arts & Science areas as this would allow them the opportunity to make informed decision on the career path….

Since we're a listening school and we are committed and willing, and passionate about creating a standard and foundation that would transcend our children to a future & career that would afford them the opportunity to becoming future leaders & professionals in any chosen field of endeavour, we have decided to bring this issues to the general house…

Contribute wisely

👇👇👇👇💓❤️👇👇
*Questions/Contribution*

*Is it right for a parent to choose career for his/her child?*

*Is it proper for a student of senior secondary one(SS1) to major in Science or Art….* If yes why? And if No why?

*Why do some parents choose career for their children?*

*What are the factors to consider in determining whether a child should major in Arts, Commercial or Science & Engineering in senior secondary one…*

All your contributions are welcome and would be appreciated.

👆👆👆👆👆👆💓❤️👇👇
*No hate speech, insult or Abuse…*

*Thank you for understanding and God bless…*
