Ralston Bau

Ralston Bau Ralston Bau design studio was founded in 2001 by Birgitta Ralston and Alexandre Bau.

The studio, based in Norway and France, co-founded the Bioregion Institute in 2020 to pursue designs for a post-fossile society. "Ralston Bau is an idealist design studio based in Bergen, Norway and Paris, France.Birgitta Ralston and Alexandre Bau draw inspiration from rituals and human needs to form scenarios that come to life in space, product or furniture.The studio continues the unexpected and

unexplored for industries and organisations that contribute to a sustainable society. Since 2007, Ralston Bau have invited personalities from complementary horizons to co-design manifest objects, inspiring and questioning change. Ralston Bau founded the design center Transplant in Dale i Sunnfjord in Norway (2007-2012), Ideal Lab, their research through design program tackling social issues (2010-2016), and since September 2017, the Idealists movement."
