Finse Alpine Research Center, located in the northwestern part of the Hardangervidda mountain plateau, belongs to the faculties of mathematics and natural sciences at the universities of Bergen and Oslo. The center attracts biologists, geologists, geophysicists and other researchers from a wide range of Norwegian and international institutions. Seminars and meetings, as well as university field courses, are regularly held in the conference unit.

As usual, we will employed summer assistants at the station this summer. Users of the station may hire assistance for lab or field work on an hourly basis. When the field workers are not engaged in field or lab work, they will work with maintenance of the buildings at the center.

A call for the INTERACT Trans-National Access program for the summer season 2012 and winter season 2012/2013 is now open! Deadline is 15 December!

Finse Alpine Research Center is part of an EU funded network of 32 circumpolar field bases, INTERACT. A call is now open for proposals to the Trans-National Access program for the summer season 2012 and the winter season 2012/2013. The deadline for applications is 15 December 2011.
