After missing on out Hologa Niue 25, we weren’t going to miss out on the 26 event so we can finally add it to the bucket list of events ✅

What an event led before the including the respect groups, stakeholders involved in behind the scenes.

We maybe a smaller nation than our brother and sister nations but I believe when it comes to creativity and innovation, we definitely are respective leaders.

Yesterday event was great, the amount of people, the colours, the creativity, the outfits, hearing and seeing the dances plus can’t go out the food 😋

It was a memorable day for many, for us, it was the first time ever representing Dads maaga “Ululauta Mutalau Matahefonua” with the kids.

matakau auloa fakaaue mahaki lahi he tau gahua katoa ha mutolu he tuku haki mo e tuku mua he tau afifi ne mole ke lata mo e fakaako he tau lologo mo e tau koli fuluola.

I and we appreciate the immense time allocated to helping with putting together our practices, venues and the constant updates.

We are very grateful.

Apologies for those we didn’t catch up with, grab pics with you as a lot was in passing with all the movements through the day. But it was awesome to catch up with a lot of the extended magafaoa, Niue peeps, friends and the many more people we saw.

That includes you ma lou 😜 our influencer / actor / all sorts.

This one was for you Dad.

Koli fiafia.
Mali mali fiafia.
Kata fiafia.
Kalaga fiafia.

Ulauta.
Mutalau.
Matahefonua.

Fakaaue lahi / Thanks heaps,

Fakaalofa lahi atu kia mutolu oti,

Ko e kupu koe magafaoa ha tautolu e aho nei.

Lali ke kau fakalataha tumau moe magafoa.

Pese ni ko e tau puhala kehe lali kaia he magafaoa ke feleveia mai mo e matua fifine nei.

If you follow me on my personal page then you would’ve seen this post but it’s simple post, nothing technical, yet simple.

Magafaoa the word translated in English - Family.

This is the Vagahau Niue translation for Family.

This is my magafaoa. This is my family.

Even though we’ve all had a different pathway to each other we are still bound together as a Family - Magafaoa.

We’re connected.

Because we’re family.

Ko e magafaoa haaku.

Magafaoa - Family.

Kua ai nimo he magafaoa / Never forget your family.

Fakaaue lahi / Thanks heaps,

Team, team, team, if you’re not busy tomorrow and thinking of something to do, maybe try some Falao Niu, maybe some Takihi or maybe my favourite Polo Tosisi 😋 head down to Grey Lynn Library for the Mutalau United Showday from 8am - 12pm.

You don’t have to be Tagata Niue to attend, if you’re keen on the best island food head down tomorrow and take heaps of money 💰 with you to get the goods.

Fakaaue lahi / Thanks heaps,

Fakaalofa lahi atu kia mutolu oti,

Kia Monuina kehe tau gahua he tau takitaki mai e tutula nei ke lata moe tau Fuata Niue nei.

I just want to say it was a pleasure to be apart of this event tonight in respect of the brother Kano + listening into our perspectives growing up as a Tagata Niue 🇳🇺

I just want to say it was great to sit and listen into the Fuata Niue 🇳🇺 that spoke and shared their experiences 💯

You shared some great insights but respectfully demonstrated your own current experiences, journeys, in terms of your aspirations, directions and motivations for your Vagahau Niue & your cultural identities.

Love to you brothers, our Tau Taane Niue 🇳🇺

A key take home message for all our Fuata Niue is to be ambitious, courageous & confident enough to push boundaries, don’t settle for less, it’s ok to be selfish in life because you’ll only ever be successful if you focus on what you need to do.

Appreciate it ma tau Toa’s and grateful 🥰🇳🇺🙌🏽

Fakaaue lahi / Thanks heaps,
