NEXT26: New Zealand Experience Trip 2026 🇲🇾🇳🇿

A delegation from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), comprising 23 students, 3 lecturers, and the Vice-Chancellor Academic and International, is currently in Christchurch as part of NEXT26, an international academic and industry programme providing students with opportunities to explore, learn and experience university life in New Zealand.

The programme began on 31st August with an opening ceremony alongside UC Global Engagement, followed by a visit around the University of Canterbury. Students had the opportunity to explore the campus and learn more about the university, as well as gain an introduction to Māori culture and language.

On 1 September, CMSA had the opportunity to spend time with the UTM students as we came together to celebrate Merdeka. It was a memorable occasion filled with shared experiences, meaningful connections, and a glimpse into the Malaysian student community here in Christchurch.

We would like to extend our appreciation to the UTM students for taking the time to connect with CMSA. We hope you continue to have a meaningful and enriching experience in Christchurch! 🇲🇾🤝🇳🇿
