From house rivalries to a night with one of the Philippinesโ€™ most recognized OPM bands, Sportsfest 2026 saved a major highlight for its final day as Ben&Ben performed at the RSB Gymnasium on October 16. The celebrated folk-pop band brought its music to VMA, giving students and members of the school community an opportunity to witness a performance by an act whose songs have become familiar to Filipino listeners.

The bandโ€™s appearance added star power to the festivalโ€™s closing night, extending the celebration beyond the weekโ€™s competitions and performances. With Ben&Ben taking the stage, the final evening became more than the conclusion of Sportsfest 2026, it became an opportunity for the VMA community to experience a prominent name in Original Pilipino Music within its own campus.

Before Ben&Ben took the stage, Infinite Ridge warmed up the crowd with a performance that set the tone for the evening, building anticipation for the nightโ€™s main act.

The long-awaited verdict came on October 16 as House of Polaris was declared the Overall Champion of Sportsfest 2026, closing the competition with the house at the top of the final standings. House of Armada took the Litera Musica title, House of Oceanus claimed the Dance Fest championship, and House of Voyager secured the crown in sports, giving each house a distinct victory in this yearโ€™s festival.

The results underscored the range of competition that defined the event, with musical talent, dance performances, and athletic prowess each taking center stage. As the houses received their respective distinctions, the final announcement marked the end of Sportsfest 2026, leaving Polaris with the overall title and the category champions with victories of their own.

House of Voyager reigns by securing the winning cup after defeating House of Sea Drake in a hard-fought victory in the men's basketball finals of VMA Sportsfest 2026, with a close 6 point lead victory, 78-72. House of Voyager was declared champion while Sea Drake claims the second place.

On the other hand, House of Ardent secures the third place after taking over House of Polaris in the men's basketball battle for 3rd, winning a 19 point lead victory, 81-62.

Tinuldukan ng House of Trident ang kampanya ng House of Abyssal matapos itong magwagi sa dalawang sunod na set, 21-15 at 21-16, upang masungkit ang kampeonato sa VMA Sportsfest 2026 Men's Beach Volleyball na ginanap sa VMA Sand Court noong Oktubre 16, 2026.

Maagang nagpakawala ng sunod-sunod na malalakas na hampas ang Abyssal sa unang bahagi ng laban, dahilan upang makalamang ito sa iskor na 5-1 at mailagay sa alanganin ang Trident.

Gayunpaman, unti-unting nakabawi ang Trident sa pamamagitan ng mga malalakas na spike na nagpahirap sa depensa ng kalaban.

Dahil dito, nagawa nitong habulin ang kalamangan ng Abyssal at agawin ang abante sa iskor na 13-11.

House Oceanus secured the winning title after their back-to-back, 3-0 victory against House Polaris in the women's volleyball finals of VMA Sportsfest 2026.

The crowds erupted with cheers as Oceanus gaps Polaris in the early set of the finals, winning a 7 point lead, 25-18.

The victory was immediately doubled after Oceanus secured the second set, gapping Polaris in an astonishing 13 point lead, 25-12.

Polaris tried to catch the loss in the third set but failed, giving Oceanus another opportunity to victory who won 25-19.

With this victory, the championship cupd falls in the hands of the House Oceanus women's volleyball team.

House of Polaris emerged victorious over House of Oceanus in a thrilling five-set showdown, securing a 3-2 victory in the Men's Volleyball Finals of VMA Sportsfest 2026.

Polaris' Player No. 19, Reyes, delivered a powerful spike that ended a lengthy rally and helped the team secure the first set, 25-16.

Oceanus bounced back in the second set, with Chua delivering smart plays that helped the team even the match with a 25-16 win.

Carrying their momentum into the third set, Oceanus displayed solid defensive plays to claim another set victory, 25-19, putting Polaris on the brink of defeat.

However, Polaris refused to back down as Reyes delivered a crucial block to tie the score at 14-all in the fourth set, sparking a comeback that led to a 25-18 victory and forced a deciding fifth set.

With the championship on the line, both teams fought fiercely, but Polaris maintained its composure to clinch the final set, 15-13, sealing a dramatic 3-2 victory.

With this hard-earned win, House of Polaris was crowned the Men's Volleyball Champion of VMA Sportsfest 2026, while House of Oceanus settled for second place.
