ICC @ Franchise Asia Phils Expo 2022: Rekindling Filipinos' Entrepreneurial Spirit

ICC, represented by ICC President & Founder Manny Del Prado, attended the Franchise Asia Philippines Expo 2022 last October 14, 2022 at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex, Manila. The event, with the theme "Live. Love. Franchise", was organized by the Philippine Franchise Association.

ICC's attendance in this year's Franchise Asia Phils Expo 2022 is geared towards helping ICC's Business Management Entrepreneurship (BME) graduates become successful entrepreneurs. Mr Del Prado has observed that most of the BME graduates do not pursue setting up their businesses because of three (3) reasons. First & foremost is lack of capital. Second is lack of operating system. Third is lack of a viable, sustainable product. Even if all the past BME graduates presented their own Business Plans as a requirement for graduation most do not actualize their plans. For those who tried to set up their own businesses, most of them folded up within a year of establishment.

Being exposed to franchise concepts will broaden the BME student's minds to viable products and franchise operating concepts. Bank of Philippine Islands (BPI) is now also providing initial capital for entrepreneurs. Mr Del Prado talked with a number of franchise owners and discussed how much are their franchise fees, how their operating system are setup and how many years is the return on investment on their business.

In the coming semester, ICC will survey BME graduating students on their personal plans on establishing a business. Mentorship and assistance to capital will be provided to all serious and determined BME graduating students.
