Get to know the Biliran Province State University Board of Regents, the University’s highest policy-making body and the backbone of its institutional governance.
Under Section 4 of Republic Act No. 8292, or the Higher Education Modernization Act of 1997, and Section 17 of CHED Memorandum Order No. 7, s. 2022, which provides its revised implementing rules and regulations, the Board is empowered to enact policies, approve institutional programs, allocate resources, authorize infrastructure development, and develop partnerships that advance the University’s mandate.
Much of the Board’s work takes place beyond the daily view of the University community, yet its decisions help implement the programs, services, and opportunities that BiPSUnistas experience.
From instruction, research, student support, and extension services to quality assurance, infrastructure, information and communications technology (ICT), and institutional linkages, the Board’s collective deliberations and resolutions provide direction and support for the University’s work.
With voices from government, the University, faculty, students, alumni, and the private sector, the Regents guide BiPSU’s development and uphold accountable, responsive governance.
The Office of the University and Board Secretary (OUBS) invites every BiPSUnista to get to know our Regents and recognize their contribution to the University’s mandate.
Their work in the boardroom helps make progress possible across our two campuses (Naval and Biliran).
