𝗔 𝗕𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲!

Recently, the people of Northern Cebu faced a devastating tragedy. On the night of September 30, 2025, a 6.9 magnitude earthquake struck Bogo City, destroying homes, buildings, and properties, leaving many families in distress.

Just a month later, another calamity followed as Typhoon Tino brought heavy rains, severe flooding, and landslides across the central areas of Cebu, causing further damage and loss to countless lives and livelihoods.

In light of these heartbreaking events, we, the volunteers from CRMC College of Criminal Justice Education, are launching a 𝙍𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙛 𝙊𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 to extend help and support to our fellow Cebuanos who were greatly affected.

We are humbly accepting donations in any form to aid them in their daily needs. The following items are most needed:

-Hygiene Kits
-Clothing
-Drinking Water
-Mats and Blankets
-Food Supplies (such as canned goods, rice, noodles, etc.)
-Financial Assistance (to be used for urgent needs and relief efforts)

At this moment, safety and security must be our top priorities. Nevertheless, we must continue to fulfill our purpose and responsibility in pursuit of our goals and dreams.

We understand that our current situation is not easy, but through our 𝙊𝙣𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝘾𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙨, the difficulties can be lessened, and we can gradually adjust to this new learning setup.

Therefore, we are inviting everyone to share your photos while attending your online classes. 📢 UPDATE ON RESUMPTION OF CLASSES

Cebu Roosevelt Memorial Colleges (CRMC) will resume classes on October 20, 2025 across all levels, under a flexible learning arrangement while safety inspections are completed following the 6.9 magnitude earthquake in Bogo City.

College: Online via Google Classroom & Facebook Messenger (asynchronous), with synchronous sessions via Google Meet

High School: Online classes via Google Meet / Google Classroom, transitioning soon to WELA LMS

Elementary: Online classes via Google Meet transitioning soon to WELA LMS

Face-to-Face (College Board & Nonboard Courses): Tentative resumption in November 2025, at the CRMC New Building Upper Pandan Campus pending safety clearance from the Office of the Building Official (OBO). We would like to reassure everyone that our NEW BUILDING at Upper Pandan Campus has sustained no major damage from the recent magnitude-6.9 earthquake and has remained structurally sound. Minor Bolt adjustments and repairs are on going to assure safety and reliability.

All faculty will operate under a work-from-home arrangement during the online learning period; those with unstable internet may coordinate with their Deans or AcadHR for on-site support.

This setup allows a gradual adjustment: asynchronous → synchronous → face-to-face when safe.

We proudly celebrate 𝙀𝙍𝙄𝘾𝙆𝘼 𝙈𝘼𝙀 𝙋. 𝙁𝙇𝙊𝙍𝙀𝙎 of 𝑪𝒆𝒃𝒖 𝑹𝒐𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒍𝒕 𝑴𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝑪𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒈𝒆𝒔 for being recognized as one of the 𝙏𝙤𝙥 𝙀𝙭𝙚𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙋𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙍𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙑𝙄𝙄, placing Top 10 in the entire Region 7 in the AUGUST 2025 Criminologists Licensure Examination with an impressive average rating of 88.95%.

Honored and grateful! Cebu Roosevelt Memorial Colleges - College of Criminal Justice Education proudly receives this Plaque of Recognition for being the Top 2 Performing School in Region 7 with 100 and more examinees and a passing percentage of 61.46% for first takers in the August 2025 Criminologists Licensure Examination.

This recognition was awarded by the Professional Criminologists Association of the Philippines, Inc. – Region 7 and the Council of Deans for Criminology and Criminal Justice – Region VII, held at the IEC Convention Center Cebu (IC3), Cebu City on October 10, 2025.

This was the very first thing observed by the students of Cebu Roosevelt Memorial Colleges regarding the situation of several residents in different parts of the area after the recent 6.9 magnitude earthquake in Bogo City, Cebu. As vehicles passed through the roads, they would bounce up and down, and there were homes that were completely destroyed by the quake.

Among the victims of this disaster were students from the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE). That is why, on 𝑶𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒃𝒆𝒓 11, 2025, the 𝑪𝑪𝑱𝑬 𝑫𝒆𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑶𝒇𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒆𝒓, 𝑷𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑱𝒂𝒚𝒔𝒐𝒏 𝑴. 𝑴𝒂𝒔𝒖𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒈𝒂𝒕, led the Relief Operation conducted in nine barangays in Bogo City. During this event, we distributed essential goods that could help the affected residents with their daily needs, though not long-lasting, these brought them moments of happiness and relief.

Hygiene Kits were provided to help them maintain personal cleanliness, and Rice to fill their stomachs.

Through the help and donations from our sponsors, 𝑴𝒂’𝒂𝒎 𝑹𝒖𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒚𝒏 𝑴. 𝑨𝒃𝒐𝒏, 𝑴𝒂’𝒂𝒎 𝑴𝒂𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒊𝒂 𝑪𝒓𝒖𝒛, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑾𝒊𝒔𝒆𝒎𝒂𝒏’𝒔 𝑩𝒐𝒐𝒌𝒔 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈, 𝑰𝒏𝒄. — we express our deepest gratitude, for they played a huge role in fulfilling the goals and mission of this relief operation.

With the help of our CCJE Department Officers, the 𝑹𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒇 𝑶𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 was successfully carried out for those in need. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to 𝑺𝒓. 𝑲𝒆𝒏𝒓𝒚 𝑺. 𝑹𝒆𝒎𝒖𝒍𝒕𝒂, President of the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management - CRMC, for his presence, support, and assistance in sharing relief goods across the affected areas.

We would also like to give special thanks to our CCJE DO Secretary II, 𝑴𝒔. 𝑴𝒂𝒚𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒆 𝑷. 𝑫𝒆𝒎𝒊𝒂𝒓, for lending us transportation for the distribution of relief goods — a vital means of bringing the blessings and assistance to those who needed them most.

Our gratitude as well goes to our volunteer documenter, 𝑱𝒂𝒎𝒂𝒊𝒄𝒂 𝑪. 𝑷𝒂𝒚𝒖𝒔𝒂𝒏, whose contribution played an important role in this operation.

Lastly, our officers and volunteers arrived back at the CRMC Main Campus late in the evening. Through this Relief Operation, we learned many lessons about the realities of life during times of need. The Professional Criminologists Association of the Philippines (PCAP) Region 7, in collaboration with the Region 7 Council of Deans of Criminology and Criminal Justice, successfully distributed a relief operation today, October 05, 2025, to support its active members and Registered Criminologists (RCrims) affected by the recent 6.9 magnitude earthquake. ‎ ‎

The distribution of essential relief goods commenced at 4:23 PM at the Felipe R. Verallo Foundation College, situated in Bogo City, Cebu. The operation was conducted with the invaluable assistance of the Council of Deans for Criminology and Criminal Justice, headed by President, 𝑨𝑻𝑻𝒀. 𝑫𝑶𝑫𝑬𝑳𝑶𝑵 𝑭. 𝑺𝑨𝑩𝑰𝑱𝑶𝑵, the Dean of the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) of the UC – Main Campus ,significant individuals and Student Body Organization from the University of Cebu - Main Campus, supported by the CRMC Faculties, Department Officers, and Criminology Interns under the guidance of our Dean, 𝑫𝑹.𝑹𝑶𝑺𝑨𝑳𝒀𝑵 𝑨. 𝑮𝑨𝑳𝑳𝑶. This shows PCAP is fully committed to supporting its members throughout their recovery.

We also express our sincere appreciation to the 701𝙨𝙩 𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙚𝙪𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙖𝙣𝙮, 𝙍𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙈𝙤𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙚 𝙁𝙤𝙧𝙘𝙚 𝘽𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙤𝙣 7, for their active support and presence during the operation.
