Leaders Among Us: Forging Excellence in Forestry and Leadership
We are deeply honored to feature a true pillar of leadership, service, and environmental stewardship: Brod Thomas "Thommy" L. Cardente II. A visionary leader in both the civilian and military sectors, Brod Thommy currently serves as the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer (PENRO) of Bukidnon. Beyond his vital role in protecting our province's natural wealth, he concurrently commands the frontline of community resilience as the Battalion Commander of the 100th Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion based at Camp Osito Bahian, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon. His profound dedication to his profession and country is anchored by a stellar academic foundation rooted in forestry. He earned both his BS in Forestry and MS in Forestry from Central Mindanao University, before pursuing his PhD in Forestry at the prestigious University of the Philippines Los Baรฑos. Amidst his heavy responsibilities, he remains grounded by his family, residing in New Nongnongan, Don Carlos, Bukidnon.
Brod Thommyโs exceptional journey of leadership began within our sacred bonds when he crossed into the Delta Pi Omega brotherhood at CMU as a proud member of the Batch Explorer. His capacity to lead and inspire was evident early on, eventually rising to serve the fraternity as the Grand Dolphin of the Alpha Chapter. Reflecting on his journey, Brod Thommy shares that he originally joined the organization to challenge himself and enhance his leadership skills and capabilities. Decades later, the wisdom he holds highest from his time in the fraternity is a masterclass in human connection: the art of behavioral management among different personalities. Through his life's work, Brod Thommy exemplifies the highest ideals of a Dolphin, proving that true leadership is about bringing diverse people together to achieve greatness for the common good.
