The 34th Nursing Nights proved that behind every future nurse is a community that knows how to celebrate just as passionately as it serves. For one evening, the Father Saturnino Urios University Gymnasium transformed from a place of practice and preparation into a vibrant stage of color, music, and shared pride. Shades of pink and red filled the venue as student nurses set aside their clinical uniforms and stepped into a night inspired by the theme โ€œShort nโ€™ Sweet,โ€ capturing the playful energy of Sabrina Carpenterโ€™s pop era while celebrating the bonds formed throughout the demanding journey of nursing education.

The evening opened on a meaningful note with a solemn invocation and a stirring rendition of the National Anthem by the Voices of Lights Chorale. Soon after, Mrs. Mary Lois Charity C. Elicano, RN, MAN, welcomed the community and reminded everyone that although nursing requires discipline, resilience, and long hours of dedication, moments like Nursing Nights allow students to pause and appreciate the friendships and support systems that carry them through the profession.

Excitement quickly filled the gymnasium during the Opening Salvo by the FSUU Dance Company, where cheers echoed across the crowd and set the tone for a night that celebrated more than just talent, it celebrated the spirit of the nursing community itself. The program also honored student leaders and athletes from the 124th University Days, recognizing individuals who managed to balance hospital duties, academic responsibilities, and athletic excellence. Their recognition served as a reminder that nursing students continue to excel not only in the wards but also in leadership and extracurricular pursuits.

As the night unfolded, the spotlight shifted to the guilds whose performances electrified the stage. The Hip-Hop and Lyrical competitions became some of the most anticipated highlights of the celebration. Each guild brought its own style, energy, and creativity to the performances, transforming the gymnasium into a vibrant showcase of talent, teamwork, and passion. Cheers from fellow students filled the venue as the performers delivered routines that reflected not only artistic expression but also the strong sense of unity within the nursing community.

Beyond the performances, the three-day celebration of 34th Nursing Days ultimately crowned its overall champion. After a series of competitions spanning literary events, sports, e-games, and musical showcases, Guild 2 Metkayina emerged as the Overall Champion of the 34th Nursing Days, marking a remarkable back-to-back victory for the guild under the leadership of Guild Master Andrea Marquez Cullantes. Their consistent performance throughout the events reflected dedication, teamwork, and the competitive spirit that defined this yearโ€™s festivities.

More than the trophies and titles, this year's Nursing Nights reminded everyone that nursing is built on camaraderie, collaboration, and shared purpose. The celebration brought together students from different year levels and guilds, creating a space where competition and friendship existed side by side. It was a night that highlighted not only the talents of nursing students but also the bonds that will carry them through their journey toward becoming healthcare professionals.
From electrifying performances to moments of pride shared across the nursing community, the night truly lived up to its themeโ€”short, sweet, and unforgettable.
But the energy, colors, and unforgettable moments of the evening are best seen, not just described.
Check out the photos and relive the highlights of the 34th Nursing Nights.

Guild 2 Metkayina secured the Overall Championship of the 34th Nursing Days after a series of competitive events, including indoor and outdoor games, e-games, literary, and musical competitions that highlighted the active participation and talents of nursing students throughout the three-day celebration.

Led by Guild Master Andrea Marquez Cullantes, Guild 2 delivered consistent performances throughout the events and maintained a highly competitive edge, ultimately earning them the championship title and marking a back-to-back victory for the guild.

The race for the top spot, however, was closely contested between Guild 2 Metkayina and Guild 1 Omaticaya. Guild 1, led by Guild Master Chedie Antonate Avila, remained a strong contender throughout the competitions, keeping the overall standings tight until the final tallies were announced.

The guilds were formally recognized during the 34th Nursing Nights, held at the FSUU Gymnasium, where students gathered to celebrate the highlights and achievements of the festivities. Present during the awarding ceremony was last yearโ€™s Guild Master, Jaseem Alabdullah, who previously led Guild 2 to victory and witnessed the guild secure its second consecutive championship.

To award the trophies and recognize the winning guilds, Dr. Tarcisio B. Candog Jr., RN, MAN, Dean of the Nursing Program was present. Joining him were past governors Krista Dannise C. Balla and Jovenice Villadolid Alquizar, along with LSG Adviser Mary Lois Charity C. Elicano, who all took part in honoring the achievements of the participating guilds.

Meanwhile, Guild 3 Mangkwan, under the leadership of Guild Master Niel Jefferson Verdon, claimed 2nd Place, demonstrating resilience, determination, and unwavering effort throughout the competitions. Guild 4 Tayrangi, guided by Guild Master Oceansea C. Jose, secured 3rd Place, showcasing strong enthusiasm, unity, and teamwork in every event.

The 34th Nursing Days served not only as a platform for friendly competition but also as a celebration of camaraderie, leadership, and collaboration among nursing students. Through shared experiences and spirited participation, the event strengthened the bonds within the nursing community while showcasing the talents and dedication of future healthcare professionals.

๐‰๐”๐’๐“ ๐ˆ๐: Shades of pink and red with white accents filled the Father Saturnino Urios University Gymnasium as the nursing community traded clinical uniforms for a night of celebration and talent. Inspired by the theme โ€œShort nโ€™ Sweet,โ€ drawn from the pop era of Sabrina Carpenter and her album, the evening carried a playful yet meaningful atmosphere. Festivities began at 5:00 PM with a solemn invocation, followed by a powerful rendition of the National Anthem by the Voices of Lights Chorale. Soon after, Maโ€™am Mary Lois Charity C. Elicano, RN, MAN, delivered a warm welcome, reminding everyone that while nursing is a demanding calling, moments like these allow the community to celebrate the friendships and bonds formed along the journey.

Excitement surged during the Opening Salvo, a high-energy performance that officially launched the nightโ€™s festivities. Cheers echoed across the venue as the program shifted to recognizing student leaders and athletes from the 124th University Days. Led by Axe Pulse Patalita, the segment honored those who managed to balance rigorous hospital duties while excelling in sports and leadership. Their achievements served as a reminder that dedication in nursing extends beyond the clinical setting.

Attention then turned to the much-anticipated competitive segment of the evening. Vincel Pluma Salvana formally introduced the Board of Judges and presented the criteria, ensuring fairness and transparency in the performances that would follow. With the stage set and the audience energized, the gymnasium transformed into a vibrant showcase of talent, creativity, and unity within the nursing community.

Father Saturnino Urios University (FSUU) hosted its annual Job Fair today at the FSUU Gymnasium, bringing together graduating students and leading employers from across the region.

The event began at 8:00 AM and provided a valuable opportunity for students to connect with potential employers, submit rรฉsumรฉs, and present themselves professionally as they prepared to enter the workforce.

For the Nursing Program, the job fair marked an important milestone as fourth-year graduating students took a significant step toward their future careers in healthcare.

Graduating Nursing students met with recruiters from several hospitals and healthcare institutions that were actively seeking fresh graduates to fill vital roles in patient care. These opportunities covered various areas within the nursing profession, offering graduates the chance to begin meaningful careers in the healthcare sector.

The presence of these institutions highlighted the growing demand for skilled nurses in the Caraga region and underscored the readiness of FSUUโ€™s nursing graduates to contribute to the healthcare workforce.

Pickleball, a sport once played casually to shake off the stress of school, has now made its official debut in the Nursing Days competition and the action has been nothing short of thrilling. With its popularity sweeping across the Philippines, students brought the same energy and excitement seen nationwide to the courts. What started as a leisure activity has now become a trending pastime and has made its way into student competitions.

In the womenโ€™s division, Guild 3 came out on top, taking home the gold medal. Guild 4 earned silver, while Guild 2 grabbed bronze. With teamwork, the different guilds proved that pickleball is more about fun than pressure and itโ€™s clear why the sport is trending nationwide.
