Last September 24, 2026, deans and program chairpersons from various schools across the Bicol Region gathered at Sorsogon State University – Castilla Campus for the highly anticipated General Assembly of the Council of Deans and Associate Deans for Agriculture and Fisheries! 🌾🚜

Guided by the invaluable insights of CHED Education Supervisor II, Dr. Michael B. Bibon, the assembly served as a vital platform to address pressing agricultural and fisheries concerns, share innovative strategies, and map out the future direction of the region. 📈🐟

A major highlight of the gathering was the successful election of the new set of council officers, with University of Camarines Norte (UCN) proudly making a strong showing on regional leadership. Leading this new chapter is newly elected President Prof. Ronnel Deoneda Sr. of Bicol University - Tabaco Campus, alongside Dr. Alvin Musca of UCN-Labo Campus who takes on the role of Vice-President.

Adding immense pride to the institution, leaders from UCN have been entrusted with vital posts to steer the council's administrative and financial future: Dean Anne Marie C. Arevalo of Mercedes Campus was elected as Auditor, alongside her dedicated Program Chairperson, Jade G. Ocfemia as Business Manager. Together with Dr. Musca, the university active commitment and strong regional presence in advancing agricultural and fisheries education! 🌟
