Women have a significant influence in all aspect of our lives. The strength and success of a nation are determined by how empowered its women are. To raise awareness of women's rights and their proper participation in national development, Women's Day is observed all around the world.

In relation to this, CapSU-Dumarao Criminology Department joins the nation in celebrating the importance of every women in our society on this 8th day of March 2023 in order honor the women's movement for equality. The 2023 National Women's Month Celebration ushers in a turning point for women's rights as it introduces a new enduring theme: WE for gender equality and an inclusive society, which will run from this year until 2028.

Starting this day (March 8, 2023) until the end of the March, students, faculty and staff will be wearing purple every Wednesday to support and acknowledge the significant role of women in our society. More importantly, promoting gender equality and safe space environment for them.

Women's Day is noteworthy because it advocates for equal rights and opportunities for women. It is also a day to celebrate the accomplishments made by women and a chance to consider their place in society. It's a day to recognize their contributions to every aspect of our lives. On this day, let's all vow to strive toward gender equality and women's empowerment.
