FACULTY TRAINING UPDATE!

On June 1-2, 2026, Mr. Gerald O. Sanchez, Mathematics and Statistics Faculty, attended the 2-day Training-Workshop on "Research in the AI Era: The Enduring Role of Statistics" held at the Oriental Garden Restaurant, Philtown Hotel, A. Velez-Macahambus Streets, Cagayan de Oro City. This is in line with CHED's thrust to encourage all HEIs to integrate AI in the research curriculum.

The activity aims to strengthen analytical and statistical competencies among researchers, faculty members, and graduate students in the context of artificial intelligence (AI), with a focus on statistical reasoning, regression modeling, research design, bias, reproducibility, and responsible use of AI in research. The training was conducted by the Association for Research and Teaching in the Sciences and Liberal Arts (ARTSciLA), Inc.

Congratulations sir Sanchez and thank you so much for representing GCUC to the said training-workshop!
