Official Statement

The College of Nursing Student Council strongly condemns the spread of hateful and disrespectful comments directed toward fellow students through anonymous online platforms.

As nursing students and future healthcare professionals, we are expected to uphold compassion, respect, and professionalism both online and offline. We should be each other's carers, not the reason for someone else's hurt.

In line with this, we encourage everyone to refrain from engaging with or spreading harmful content. We also encourage everyone to speak up when they witness harmful behavior, remind one another to act respectfully, and report inappropriate posts through the proper channels.

Let us remember that being a nurse begins with how we treat others. Let us choose kindness, accountability, and respect in everything we do.

Let us be each other's carers, not the cause of each other's harm.

In the midst of deadlines and exams, don’t forget that there’s still you!

Despite the toss and turn of life, don’t forget to give yourself a pat on the back for still being here. This October 10, as we celebrate World Mental Health Day, let us be reminded to be kinder to ourselves, that it’s okay to ask for help, and that you're not alone in the struggle.

Let’s continue to extend our understanding and care for one another beyond today, because everyone is battling with something we aren’t aware of.

Your voice matters. Your feelings matter. You matter.

𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐤𝐚𝐦𝐢, 𝐤𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐚 𝐤𝐚𝐲𝐨! 👩‍⚕️🩺💛💚

In celebration of this year’s Teachers’ Day, the Supreme Student Council, together with the Perpetualite Student Leaders, organized “Saludo, Guro!” at the UPHSD Gym 1. To give way to the celebration, classes were held asynchronously starting at 12:00 PM.

To our clinical instructors, thank you for equipping us with the knowledge, skills, and lessons we need to become better students and future professionals. We are deeply grateful for the patience, guidance, and encouragement you continue to give us, and for constantly challenging us to show up as better versions of ourselves.

More than the lessons taught inside the classroom and the clinical area, you have left a part of yourselves in every student you have guided. The knowledge you share, the standards you set, and the moments you spend teaching us will stay with us long after we leave the classroom and clinical duties.

Happy Teachers’ Day to the mentors who continue to shape the nurses we hope to become. 💛💚

Thank you for believing in us, even on the days when we need a little more reminding. 🫶

The 102 third-year nursing students of the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA – Las Piñas have officially become student nurses (SNs) as they were capped and pinned on September 14, 2026, at the Ernesto Palanca Crisostomo Hall.

The 47th Thanksgiving and Commitment Ceremony marked a significant milestone in their journey toward becoming professional nurses, carrying the theme, “𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫, 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠.”

As Gian Carlo S. Torre, Ph.D., RN, National President of the Philippine Nurses Association (PNA), shared, “𝘿𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙞𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙩𝙝 𝙩𝙤 𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙖𝙞𝙣 𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙛𝙖𝙨𝙩 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙚𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙨 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜.”

May these words inspire the student nurses to continue pursuing their calling with dedication, compassion, and competence.

Behind every student nurse who made it to this day are people who never stopped believing in them. This milestone is yours to celebrate, too. 🤍
