ꜰʀᴏᴍ ᴛʜᴇ ᴠᴇʀʏ ꜱᴛᴀʀᴛ, ᴘʟᴇᴀꜱᴇ ʙᴇ ᴄᴀʀᴇꜰᴜʟ ᴡɪᴛʜ ᴍʏ ʜᴇᴀʀᴛ ♥️

In celebration of National CPR Day, Level 4 Nursing Students participated in ZapPinas 26: Isang Barangay patungong CPR-ready Philippines held in STEPS Function Room, Tamayo Tower at Perpetual Help Medical Center in collaboration with the Philippine Heart Association Council on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. This event aims to build safer and more prepared communities during emergencies.

⚡️For untrained first aiders, the 4Cs is the standard protocol for sudden cardiac arrest:
1. Check the surroundings if the scene is safe and if the victim is responsive.
2. Call emergency services or instruct a specific bystander immediately.
3. Place your hands in the center of the chest and push hard and fast at a rate of 100-120 compressions per minute—you can time your compressions to the beat of songs like Stayin’ Alive by Bee Gees, Can’t Stop the Feeling by Justin Timberlake, and Good Luck, Babe by Chapell Roan.
4. Connect and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) if one is available nearby. It is usually available in malls, airports, major transport terminals, offices, and schools and universities.

Student volunteers from the College of Nursing took part in Brigada Eskwela 2026 at Doña Manuela Elementary School today, June 4, 2026, in preparation for the opening of classes for public basic education schools on June 8, 2026.

𝘈𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘴𝘮 𝘚𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘮 𝘋𝘪𝘴𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘦𝘳 (𝘈𝘚𝘋) is a condition where the brain works a little differently, especially in communication, behavior, and social interaction. Since it is a spectrum, no two individuals are the same-- they have different strengths, challenges, and needs.

🧠 Common Signs (present from early childhood)
- Delayed speech or language skills
- Difficulty with social interaction (e.g. eye contact, responding to name)
- Repetitive behaviors (lining up toys, hand flapping)
- Strong preference for routines
- Sensory sensitivities (sounds, textues, lights)

⚠️ Prevention? Wala. Because autism is not something to "fix." Hindi ito sakit, at lalong hindi ito dahil sa vaccines. 💉

Kids with autism grow into adults with autism, and while autism is a lifelong condition, growth is always possible with the right support. All they need is understanding, patience, and less judgment. 💙
