Happening now at the FMD lobby: BukSU is actively promoting sustainability through the surrendering of surplus supplies.

All offices are encouraged to return unused and excess materials, ensuring responsible resource management.

Additionally, offices may collect any materials they might need from the drop-off area. This initiative aligns with our commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly responsible consumption and production.

Itโ€™s time to clean out your drawers and get rid of old electronics responsibly! Bring your e-waste to the FMD Lobby this Friday and contribute to sustainable disposal practices.

๐Ÿ“Œ Before Drop-Off:
โ€ข Submit a list of your e-waste items to the ICT Unit for pre-assessment.
โ€ข Label all items with the respective office name.
โ€ข A disposal receipt will be issued at drop-off for proper inventory and tracking.

This initiative aligns with SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, helping us manage electronic waste in an environmentally-friendly way. After collection, the Supply and Property Management Unit will ensure that proper disposal methods are followed according to environmental standards.

The BukSU community came together today, October 25, 2024, to reap the rewards of their labor in the "Growing Movement" organic vegetable garden. The initiative, launched in September as part of the 124th Civil Service Month and BukSU's Centennial celebration, aims to promote sustainable practices and address food security within the university community.

The Human Resource Management Unit and Mr. Sofronio "Sir Prony" Socorin, spearheaded the harvesting of pechay from the communal garden beside the University Oval. The fresh produce will be distributed to the BukSU community, contributing to their overall health and well-being.

The "Growing Movement" garden serves as a shared space where individuals and groups can cultivate plants together.

School gardens are shared spaces where individuals or groups cultivate plants together.

When we plant together as a community, we are not just performing a task; we are creating something together. It's a shared experience that can foster a sense of unity, purpose, and compassion.

In an effort to promote environmental responsibility and campus cleanliness, students and personnel of Bukidnon State University came together for a university-wide Clean-Up Day on August 25, 2024.

The activity aligns with BukSUโ€™s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, SDG 13: Climate Action, SDG 15: Life on Land, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.

By promoting cleaner surroundings, responsible waste management, and environmental stewardship, the university actively contributes to creating sustainable and resilient communities, mitigating the impacts of climate change, and protecting terrestrial ecosystems. The activity also highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts, showcasing the valuable role of partnerships in advancing sustainable development.
