This September, during Su***de Prevention Month, let us continue to build a compassionate Thomasian community.

Take time to look out for one another—listen deeply, check in on your friends, and remind those around you that they never have to walk alone. A simple gesture of care can bring comfort, connection, and life-saving hope.

If you or a peer is feeling overwhelmed, please know that safe spaces are always open for you. Visit the UST Guidance and Counseling Center today to speak with a counselor. We are here to listen.

When heavy downpours turn into rising waters, the fear isn’t just about the rain—it’s the sudden loss of control, the isolation of being stranded, and the quiet shock that can linger even after the waters recede.

After an unexpected event, it’s okay to feel afraid, shaken, overwhelmed, uncertain, or unsettled. Sometimes, exhaustion runs deeper than the physical—it can weigh on us emotionally, too. You don’t have to brush these feelings aside, and you don’t have to carry them alone.

Our counselors have been reaching out and extending support to members of the Thomasian community affected by the recent events. To extend this support to more members of our community, the UST Guidance and Counseling Center, in collaboration with the Department of Psychology, is organizing a virtual Drop-in Support Session.

Take a moment to share, be heard, and process what you’ve been through. Together, we can find grounding, draw strength from one another, and nurture resilience as we move forward.

Register in advance for this session:
https://ust-edu-ph.zoom.us/meeting/register/GTdbc4EJTRC4mbtrv7JQpA

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

We rise stronger together—finding strength in the stories we carry, and in each other.
