In consideration of the requests raised by a majority of the SSG candidates and the extension of the SSG Parliamentary Elections, the BITIYARA: The MSU Main Supreme Student Government Parliamentary Elections 2026 Debate Forum is officially rescheduled to May 24, 2026 (Sunday) at the Marawi Cultural Heritage Center, MSU Main Campus.

Together with the MSU Main - Supreme Student Government and the MSU SSG Commission of elections, As we move towards a more organized, inclusive, and meaningful platform for democratic discourse, we invite the entire student body to remain engaged, informed, and participative in this vital electoral process.

For the upcoming MSU Main Supreme Student Government Parliamentary Elections, the Rostrum MMDV, together with the MSU Main - Supreme Student Government and SSG Commission on Elections, brings this tradition forward through the official SSG Electoral Debate Forum. More than just a debate, BITIYARA serves as a purposeful platform where aspiring student leaders are given the opportunity to present their institutional visions, share their perspectives, and engage in insightful discussions for the betterment of the MSUan student body.

This initiative seeks to move beyond the old stigma of “aggressive” debate and instead cultivate a space grounded in substance, respect, and informed discourse—because true leadership is not measured by the loudness of one’s voice, but by the clarity of one’s vision.

The Rostrum MSU Main Debate Varsity releases this official statement to reaffirm the importance of proper coordination, accountability, and institutional representation in external debate tournaments. As the sole recognized debate organization authorized to represent Mindanao State University–Main Campus, the Varsity remains committed to upholding the integrity, discipline, and standards expected within the debate community.

At the same time, the Varsity continues to advocate for an inclusive and accessible debate culture through open opportunities, recruitment initiatives, and community-building efforts within the University. Beyond policy and procedure, this statement stands as a commitment to preserve a principled, unified, and humanized debate community in Marawi.

The MSU Main Debate Varsity proudly congratulates its members for serving as adjudicators at the 𝟏𝟒𝐭𝐡 𝐙𝐃𝐎 held last April 18–19, 2026.

Amidst enchanted gardens, whispered wonders, and rooms filled with discourse, our members carried the responsibility of adjudication with wisdom, fairness, and discernment.
