The MSUโCHS Red Cross Youth Council proudly recognizes its participation in Project SIKHAY-PEER: A Post-Peer Mental Health Conference Workshop on Peer Facilitation and Student Wellness, held on April 11, 2026 at the International Convention Center, MSU Main Campus, Marawi City.
Represented by its Public Relations Officer, Thamarah Benito, the organization actively engaged in this meaningful initiative organized by the MSUโSingayo Student Peer Facilitatorsโ Circle under the Division of Student Affairs. The program served as a platform for student leaders to deepen their understanding of mental health, peer facilitation, and inclusive leadership.
Anchored on the theme โEmpowering Youth: Embracing the Power of Peer Support,โ the activity highlighted the importance of empathy, intentional listening, and the creation of safe spaces within the academic community. Through insightful plenary discussions and interactive workshops, participants explored real-life student concerns such as academic burnout, financial stress, and the role of peer support in promoting overall well-being.
This experience further strengthens RCYCโs commitment to fostering a supportive environment and advancing mental health awareness among students. The knowledge gained from this engagement will continue to inspire initiatives that promote compassion, inclusivity, and service within the community.
