The Central Luzon State University, through the Intellectual Property and Innovation Management Division, conducted a benchmarking visit to the University of the Philippines Los Baรฑos Technology Transfer and Business Development Office on April 23, 2026, to strengthen its initiatives in technology transfer, intellectual property management, and research commercialization.
The visit served as an opportunity for CLSU IPIMD to learn from the practices and experiences of UPLB TTBDO in supporting university-generated technologies, assisting researchers and inventors, and advancing pathways for technology transfer and commercialization. Through the engagement, the Division gained valuable insights into institutional mechanisms, operational strategies, and support systems that help translate research and innovation outputs into practical applications.
As CLSU continues to strengthen its innovation management ecosystem, the benchmarking activity supports IPIMDโs ongoing efforts to improve its services in intellectual property protection, technology evaluation, pre-commercialization support, and commercialization facilitation. These efforts are aligned with the Universityโs commitment to promote research utilization, industry engagement, and meaningful impact from CLSU-developed technologies.
CLSU IPIMD extends its appreciation to UPLB TTBDO for warmly accommodating the benchmarking visit and for generously sharing its knowledge, experiences, and best practices.
