The University Business Affairs Program (UBAP) of Central Luzon State University (CLSU), in collaboration with the College of Business & Accountancy (CBA) and the International Affairs Office (IAO), provide exchange students from Universitas Muhammadiyah Prof. Dr. HAMKA (UHAMKA), Indonesia, with firsthand exposure to university enterprise management and business operations.
Ms. Isha Billa Setiany, a Bachelor of Economics student majoring in Accounting, and Ms. Khafka Nafista Febrianty, a Bachelor of Economics student majoring in Management, are currently deployed at the CBA from June 2 to July 31, 2026, under a dual supervision program. Their academic and cultural immersion includes class observations, meetings with faculty advisers, participation in a cultural business tour, and exposure to CLSUโs income-generating projects (IGPs).
Along with delegates from Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU), the two UHAMKA students joined the benchmarking activity, which highlighted CLSUโs best practices in enterprise development, operational systems, and financial management. The invitation to participate in the activity, extended by the Office of the Vice President for Business Affairs (OVPBA), was coursed through the Dean of the CBA, Prof. Dr. Edilyn V. Lansangan. The activity provided the students with an opportunity to witness how higher education institutions can sustainably manage business enterprises while supporting instruction, research, and extension functions.
Presentations from various UBAP offices showcased the universityโs approaches to animal production, crop production, business development, and enterprise management. The students also participated in visits to selected project modules, including the Agricultural Food Training and Business Incubation (AFTBI), Poultry Project Module, Canteen Project Module, CLSU Aqua Project, Garment Production Project Module, and the Dungon Museo, allowing them to appreciate the breadth of CLSUโs income-generating initiatives.
Sharing her experience, Ms. Khafka Nafista Febrianty expressed enthusiasm over the opportunity provided by CLSU.
โOur advisor let us know about it after the Office of Business Affairs invited us to join the tour. Honestly, we loved almost everything about it! Seeing the university's technology facilities was a huge highlight. We also really enjoyed trying the food products created through the university's food technology development, and it was also great getting to know the historical timeline of CLSU,โ she said.
The immersion program reflects the growing international
collaboration between CLSU and UHAMKA and underscores the CBAโs commitment to providing meaningful global learning experiences.
Through initiatives such as these, students are exposed to innovative business practices, cross-cultural engagement, and sustainable enterprise models that contribute to their academic and professional development.
By opening its doors to international students through the support of the IAO and fostering partnerships with institutions abroad, the CLSU CBA and the UBAP continue to strengthen CLSUโs role as a center for excellence in business education and a catalyst for global academic cooperation.
