Lance Phillip L. Urbien, Broadcasting Head of AquaSounds Publication (ASP) and Student Supreme Council (SSC) President of Pangasinan State University (PSU) Binmaley Campus, secured two second runner-up finishes during the 2nd Outstanding Student Leadersโ€™ Convention and 6th National Training-Workshop for Student Affairs and Services held on October 1โ€“3, 2026, in Baguio City.

Urbien received recognition in the Student Exhibitโ€“Social Media category for the SSCโ€™s official social media page, which placed second runner-up in the competition. He also earned second runner-up in On-the-Spot Photography (Mobile), demonstrating his skills in digital media and visual storytelling.

The activities were part of the national convention organized by TRAC Philippines under the theme โ€œIgniting Change through FLARE: Fostering Leadership, Awareness, Responsibility, and Engagement.โ€ The event gathered student leaders and representatives from different institutions for activities centered on leadership and student affairs and services.

Urbienโ€™s recognition highlights the participation of PSU Binmaley Campus student leaders in national activities that provide opportunities to showcase their skills and represent their institution.

The awards mark another achievement for the campus, with Urbien representing both the SSC and AquaSounds Publication in their respective student leadership and media roles.

The wait is almost over. Today, August 24, the halls of PSU Binmaley Campus come alive once again as students return for the opening of Academic Year 2026โ€“2027.

Originally set to begin on August 10, the opening of classes was moved following class suspensions brought by the recent typhoon and the heavy rains intensified by the southwest monsoon (habagat). After a brief delay, the campus is ready to welcome the PSU Binmaley community back and begin a new academic year together.

To our returning students, welcome back to familiar halls, familiar faces, and new opportunities. And to our freshmen taking their first steps as PSUnians, welcome to PSU Binmaley! A new environment may feel unfamiliar at first, but soon, these classrooms, pathways, and people will become part of your own college story.

Bilang kinatawan ng mag-aaral ng Pangasinan State University - Binmaley Campus, buong-puso at bukas-palad na nakiisa ang Supreme Student Council (SSC) sa isinagawang relief operation at mobile hot meals distribution sa bayan ng Mangatarem.

Naniniwala ang ating konseho na ang tunay na layunin ng student leadership ay hindi nagtatapos sa loob ng silid-aralanโ€”ito ay ang paglabas at pag-abot ng kamay sa ating mga kababayan sa oras ng kagipitan. Sa pamamagitan ng ating voluntary participation, hangad ng PSU-BC SSC na kahit sa simpleng paraan ay makapaghatid tayo ng init ng pagkain, pag-asa, at ginhawa sa mga pamilyang naapektuhan ng pagbaha.

Isang malaking karangalan para sa aming organisasyon ang maging katuwang ng FPJ Youth Pangasinan at ng FPJ Panday Bayanihan Partylist sa pangunguna ni Cong. Brian Poe Llamanzares. Sa pamamagitan ng kolaborasyong ito, muli nating pinatunayan ang lakas at halaga ng pagkakaisa ng mga youth organizations sa pagtugon sa pangangailangan ng ating lipunan.
