💙 To our returning students, you'll surely recognize some familiar faces.
🌱 To our new students, meet the Ma'ams and Sirs who will be part of your journey here at CGTE. ✨

📚 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥, 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬! ✨

Ready na ba ang notebooks, pens, uniforms… at ang body clock na kailangan na namang makipagkasundo sa early morning classes? 😭⏰

A new academic year is here, bringing new subjects, new professors, new classmates, and new challenges. And of course, another round of the classic “𝘔𝘢𝘺 𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘣𝘢 𝘵𝘢𝘺𝘰?”, “𝘈𝘯𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘳𝘰𝘰𝘮 𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯?”, 𝘢𝘵 “𝘔𝘢𝘺 𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘰𝘬 𝘣𝘢 𝘴𝘪 𝘔𝘢’𝘢𝘮/𝘚𝘪𝘳?” 𝘮𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴.😂

But beyond the deadlines, quizzes, reports, lesson plans, demonstrations, and group works na minsan mas challenging pa sa exam 😅, every experience brings you one step closer to becoming the educator you aspire to be. 💙

🌱 To our freshmen, welcome to a whole new adventure.
💙 To our returning students, welcome back — alam na 'to! 😂
🎓 And to those getting closer to graduation, konting push pa… malapit nang maging “Ma’am” at “Sir” for real! 🥹✨

May this school year bring friendships worth keeping, lessons worth remembering, classroom moments worth laughing about, and experiences that will make your journey as future educators even more meaningful.

So wear that uniform, bring your baon, charge your phone, prepare your best “𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐌𝐚’𝐚𝐦/𝐒𝐢𝐫!” voice, and step into another school year ready to learn, grow, and make memories. 🌟

Learning continued beyond the lecture hall as Pangasinan State University Binmaley Campus welcomed Dra. Isti Rokhyiah of Universitas Terbuka, Indonesia, on a guided tour of the University's Accelerating Salt Research Innovation (ASIN) Center following the successful International Visiting Lecturer Program.
The tour provided with an in-depth look at the Center's specialized facilities, research laboratories, and state-of-the-art equipment dedicated to advancing salt science, innovation, and value-added technologies. Through the walkthrough, PSU showcased its continuing efforts to strengthen research capabilities that support the sustainable development and modernization of the Philippine salt industry.
Leading the presentation was Engr. Rex B. Basuel, Program/Project Leader of the ASIN Center, who highlighted the Center's research initiatives, ongoing projects, and scientific innovations designed to address the evolving needs of the local salt sector. The visit also underscored Pangasinan's significant contribution as one of the country's premier salt-producing provinces and the University's role in transforming local expertise into research-driven solutions.
Accompanying the tour were Dr. Joseph B. Campit, Campus Executive Director, university officials, faculty members, staff and students from the College of General and Teacher Education, who engaged in meaningful discussions on University’s research initiatives, exchanged insights on academic and scientific innovation, and explored opportunities for future international collaboration and institutional partnerships.
More than a showcase of facilities, the visit reflected PSU's commitment to integrating academic excellence with research and innovation. By opening its premier research center to international partners, the University continues to foster global academic connections while promoting homegrown technologies that create lasting impact on communities and industries alike.
As the exchange concluded within the halls of the ASIN Center, the visit served as another milestone in PSU's internationalization efforts, demonstrating that meaningful collaboration extends beyond classrooms and lectures, reaching the laboratories and research spaces where innovation takes shape and global partnerships are strengthened.

Pangasinan State University Binmaley Campus once again affirmed its commitment to internationalization as the College of General and Teacher Education (CGTE) successfully hosted an International Visiting Lecturer Program featuring Dra. Isti Rokhyiah, M.A., Ph.D., a distinguished faculty member from the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training, Universitas Terbuka, Indonesia.
The event gathered university officials, faculty members, staff, and students in a meaningful academic exchange that celebrated not only scholarship but also the enduring friendship between the Philippines and Indonesia.
The program opened with inspiring messages from Dr. Joseph B. Campit, Campus Executive Director, and Engr. Rex B. Basuel, Program/Project Leader of the ASIN Center, who underscored the University’s continuing pursuit of international collaboration and innovative research. Engr. Basuel also shared the University’s SALT Initiative, highlighting research on the Philippine salt industry, Pangasinan’s vital role as the country’s leading salt-producing province, and the traditional and modern methods of salt production.
Adding a vibrant cultural dimension to the event, students performed the Filipino folk dance Balangbang, under the guidance of Mr. Alvin P. Cendaña, Culture and Arts Coordinator. The presentation showcased the resilience and industrious spirit of Filipino farmers, offering the visiting delegates a glimpse into the country’s rich cultural heritage.
The College also proudly presented its academic profile, featuring the Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Science program and the initiatives of the Educators Club, demonstrating its commitment to developing future educators through both academic excellence and leadership opportunities. Complementing this presentation was the inspiring testimony of Ms. Sherie Giray, who shared her transformative experience as a participant in the SEA Teacher Program in Indonesia, emphasizing how international exchange programs cultivate globally competent educators.
The highlight of the event was the insightful lecture delivered by Dra. Isti Rokhyiah, whose expertise provided fresh perspectives on teacher education and strengthened the academic dialogue between the two institutions. The succeeding Open Forum encouraged meaningful conversations among faculty members, students, and administrators, fostering the exchange of ideas and exploring future opportunities for collaboration.
The program concluded with the awarding of a Certificate and Token of Appreciation to the visiting lecturer, followed by a heartfelt Message of Gratitude from Dr. Richelle A. Junio, Dean of the College of General and Teacher Education.
More than a ceremonial visit, the International Visiting Lecturer Program exemplified Pangasinan State University’s unwavering commitment to global engagement, academic excellence, and meaningful international partnerships. As knowledge crossed borders and cultures connected through shared aspirations, the event reaffirmed that education remains a powerful bridge that unites institutions, empowers communities, and prepares future educators to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world.
Indeed, this gathering was not merely about welcoming a distinguished guest. It was about opening doors to new possibilities, strengthening friendships across nations, and proving that when universities collaborate, learning becomes limitless.
