The idea started after sharing among ourselves personal pains within our family members. We all share the same problem of our love ones suffering from memory lose and dementia when they start wandering without us knowing. It worries and frightens us so much about their safety and security since we don't know where they went. That’s why we wanted to create an IoT-wearable device that focuses on the
security and safety of wandering Dementia patients which we later found out that it is one of the highest priorities in the early stage of Dementia and Alzheimer’s after talking to our resident pioneer Gerontologist in the University. The device we call DemenTrack will be able to set predetermined area through its geofencing technology to track a patient’s activities inside close quarters and indoor environment. If the patient goes beyond the area, an alert will be sent through a mobile app or SMS and the GPS system activates to track the real-time location of the patient which will enable us to locate them easily if they wander. We hope DemenTrack will be your trusted real-time safety and security solution for wandering dementia patients in the Southeast Asian Nation as we share the same values in how we give care and love to our family.
