The Integrated Planning, Quality Assurance, and Internal Audit Services (IPQAIA), through the University Quality Assurance Center, recently conducted an ISO 9001:2015 Internal Quality Audit Process at PalawanSU-PCAT Campus last March 23-25, 2026.
The session opened with welcome remarks from the QA Coordinator and a message from the Campus Director, who conveyed sincere appreciation for the continued support and strong partnership in this meaningful endeavor. The IPQAIAโUQAC team also took the opportunity to formally award the ISO 9001: 2015 Certificates to the campus, recognizing the collective efforts of the entire PalawanSU-PCAT campus. The recognition reflected their steadfast commitment to upholding quality management standards and continuously enhancing service delivery for their stakeholders.
The Internal Audit Team is composed of our Internal Auditors, Mr. Manny Matugas, Ms. Hannah M. Navarro, and Mr. Philipp Amer U. Fatalla, who assessed the campus's compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS), adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements, and identified opportunities for improvement (OFIs).
Throughout the audit, the team conducted a comprehensive evaluation of various offices and key operational areas. Providing assistance for the audit process were Campus Directors, ISO Coordinators along with program heads, process owners, faculty members, and campus personnel, who actively participated.
At the closing meeting, the internal auditors presented their preliminary findings and recommended that officials, faculty, and staff submit compliance reports to address the identified opportunities for improvement.
This internal audit initiative reinforces Palawan State Universityโs commitment to educational excellence, continuous improvement, and sustainable development, ensuring that students receive high-quality education, equal opportunities, and access to innovative learning experiences.
