TCC Faculty and Staff Experience Bamboo Wellness Program Ahead of the New Academic Year
In preparation for the opening of a new academic year, the teaching and non-teaching personnel of Tomas Claudio Colleges (TCC) participated in a meaningful wellness initiative held on June 19, 2026, at the TCC Multipurpose Gymnasium. The activity was designed to promote holistic well-being and equip employees with renewed energy and resilience as they prepare to face the opportunities and challenges of the upcoming school year.
The TCC faculty and staff took part in the Bamboo Wellness Program, carrying the inspiring theme, “Move, Breathe, Balance, Grow.” The session provided an opportunity for employees to step away from their daily responsibilities, reconnect with themselves, and focus on their physical, mental, and emotional wellness before the start of classes.
The program was facilitated by Dianna David, Founder and Creator of MakeMOVES Transformation and the MVMT Medicine Methodology. Through guided movement exercises and mindfulness practices, participants embarked on a wellness journey inspired by the wisdom of bamboo—strong yet flexible, resilient yet constantly growing.
Throughout the session, participants were encouraged to embrace movement as a pathway to greater health and self-awareness. The Bamboo Wellness experience highlighted numerous benefits, including improved flexibility and mobility, reduced stress and tension, increased energy and vitality, enhanced balance and body awareness, and improved breathing and mindfulness. The program also emphasized the importance of reconnecting with nature, strengthening mental wellness and emotional resilience, experiencing joy through movement, and cultivating a sense of renewal and groundedness.
More than a wellness activity, the program reflected the institution’s commitment to supporting the well-being of its employees. Recognizing that educators and staff are at the heart of the learning community, Tomas Claudio Colleges continues to invest in initiatives that promote health, balance, and personal growth.
As the institution prepares to welcome students for another academic year, the Bamboo Wellness Program served as a timely reminder that excellence begins with well-being. Inspired by the enduring qualities of bamboo, TCC faculty and staff are encouraged to remain adaptable amid challenges, steadfast in their mission, and continuously growing both personally and professionally as they embark on a new school year of service and learning.
