The suspension was announced today in accordance with 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐦 𝐂𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐍𝐨. 𝟗𝟕 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭, giving everyone time to prepare themselves and their families for the possible threats of severe weather brought by Super Typhoon .

We advise every RSUvian to:
🏠 Stay indoors and be alert
📱 Monitor weather updates from PAGASA and official LGU channels
📢 Follow safety protocols set by your local government units

Highlighting its proactive stance on disaster preparedness, Romblon State University (RSU) actively joined the 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐝 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐰𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐒𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥 (𝐍𝐒𝐄𝐃) on 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟏, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, at 4:00 PM.
This university-wide exercise was carried out in line with the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) Memorandum No. 027, s. 2025, which enjoins all government institutions and schools nationwide to take part in the drill.
Spearheaded by For. Edgar V. Andalecio, University DRRMO Head, the activity mobilized the RSU community including campus deans, directors, unit heads, faculty, staff, and students from the Main and satellite campuses in practicing life-saving measures and fostering a culture of readiness.
Through the NSED, the nation collectively strengthens its earthquake preparedness and emphasizes the need for quick, coordinated, and effective response in times of disaster.
The Fourth Quarter NSED will take place on November 6, 2025, at 9:00 AM.
RSUvians, let’s always remember- "Bida ang Handa". Stay alert, stay safe, and stay prepared for yourself, for others, and for a more resilient RSU.

𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞!

The Global Citizenship Education (GCED) Office, under the Office of the University Dean of Instruction, brought the message of global responsibility and sustainable action to the youth of Alcantara, Romblon.

With Dr. Mark G. Calimbo, University Dean of Instruction, and Ms. Emie Marife C. Mendezabal, Acting GCED Head, leading the discussion, participants gained deeper insights into GCED and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) — inspiring them to become active changemakers in their communities and beyond.

Romblon State University (RSU) held its General Faculty Conference on August 8, 2025, as a strategic platform to keep all faculty members informed, engaged, and aligned with the university’s vision and academic priorities. Spearheaded by the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, the University Dean of Instruction, the Human Resource Development Office, and the College of Education, the event brought together Main Campus educators at the RSU Quadrangle and connected with faculty from Satellite Campuses via Zoom, fostering inclusivity and strengthening the culture of collaboration across the university.

This hybrid conference highlighted RSU’s commitment to transparency, unity, and shared responsibility in academic governance. By providing an avenue for open discussion and collective planning, it reinforced the faculty’s dedication to quality education, professional growth, and the fulfillment of the university’s mission of excellence.
