๐ˆ๐ ๐๐‡๐Ž๐“๐Ž๐’. NWSSU - San Jorge Campus Culminates ASEAN Month Celebration with Awarding Ceremony.

The ASEAN Month Celebration of Northwest Samar State Universityโ€“San Jorge Campus concluded with a meaningful awarding ceremony that recognized and honored the outstanding winners and participants from the various competitions held throughout the celebration. These included the Quiz Bee, Essay Writing Competition, Poster Making Contest, and ASEAN Attire Competition.

The event celebrated not only the achievements and talents of the participants but also highlighted the spirit of cultural appreciation, friendship and unity among the students.

The successful culmination of the celebration was made possible through the efforts of the Institutional Supreme Student Council (ISSC) and the Collegiate Student Council (CSC), who served as the facilitators of the ASEAN Month activities, in collaboration with the International Affairs Office.

As the celebration came to a close, the ASEAN Month Awarding Ceremony served as a reminder that while the activities may have ended, the values of unity, cooperation, cultural understanding, and togetherness will continue to live on within the NwSSUโ€“SJC community.

โ€ŽA sum of โ‚ฑ23,600, intended for the purchase of intern uniforms and held on behalf of a student group, was discovered missing on the morning of August 29.

โ€ŽThe amount is believed to have gone missing sometime between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM on August 28, during a series of activities that included time spent at the library, the flagpole area, the canteen, the ROTC office and kitchen, and the clinic.

โ€ŽIn a separate incident within the same timeframe, โ‚ฑ500 belonging to a fellow student also went missing.

The Institutional Supreme Student Council (ISSC) of Northwest Samar State University โ€“ San Jorge Campus has officially approved Resolution No. 001, S. 2026, strengthening the implementation of policies on the proper wearing of school uniforms, Physical Education (PE) attire, and student identification cards.

The resolution also provides sanctions for non-compliance. Students found violating the uniform, ID, or PE attire policy shall be required to render 4 to 8 hours of campus community service under the supervision of the ISSC-CSC. Failure for refusal to comply may result in referral to the Campus Administrator for appropriate administrative action.

The ISSC encourages all students to familiarize themselves with the approved guidelines and cooperate in maintaining a disciplined, safe, and professional campus environment.

To foster inclusive student governance and maximize institutional funds, the Institutional Supreme Student Council (ISSC) successfully held a Consultative Assembly on August 25, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Audio Visual Hall.

The assembly brought together Classroom Presidents and Vice Presidents, Recognized Student Organization Presidents and Vice Presidents, alongside ISSC and CSC Officers to collaborate and share innovative ideas for the upcoming Teachers' Day Celebration and Christmas Party.

By initiating these consultations early, the ISSC aims to streamline the Project Procurement Management Plan (PPMP) submission. Securing allocation from the official ISSC Fund early will directly minimize out-of-pocket student contributions for these upcoming campus-wide events.

The valuable insights and recommendations gathered during the session are currently being consolidated to refine project proposals. The finalized event plans will be presented to the student body following official approval.
