𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐓 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 was one long, memorable ride, starting with shared ideas in the morning and ending with a fun and meaningful night under the open sky, all in line with our theme, “Unite through Innovation, Compete with Passion, Celebrate with Pride!”

The day started with the 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫, featuring Ms. Jennifer Rodriguez Catayas, an IT alumna now working as Senior End User IT Support at ALORICA in BGC, Taguig. She shared her journey, real experiences, and practical advice that students could truly relate to. The seminar also focused on how IT students can better prepare for the real world while helping bridge the gap between the industry and the academe through skills, mindset, and continuous learning.

As evening came, the campus shifted into celebration mode for the 𝐃𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭, which was held outdoors and filled with good vibes. Laughter, cheers, and meaningful moments filled the space as we recognized individuals and teams who showed dedication and teamwork throughout the fest.

The night wrapped up on a high with the 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐉𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 featuring 𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐝 𝟐𝟏. Music echoed across the campus, people sang along, and everyone simply enjoyed the moment, ending the day with energy, unity, and school spirit.

From learning and competition to recognition and pure campus fun, 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐓 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 gave us memories we will carry long after the lights went out.

🔥 IT FEST 2025 – DAY 1 KICKOFF! 🔥

From sign-in to sign-out, Day 1 made its mark — full of fresh ideas, great performances, and intense competitions!

We opened the day with a meaningful Eucharistic Mass that grounded the whole IT Fest, reminding us of our purpose and strengthening our sense of community.

Right after, the Capstone Project Showcase took the spotlight! Our talented IT students showed what they’ve got — turning concepts into real solutions with smart ideas, sharp ex*****on, and impressive innovation.

Then came the hype! The Cosplay Showdown brought the stage to life with heroes, villains, and characters that had the crowd cheering nonstop.

To wrap up the day, the Games and Skills Competitions delivered the thrill — from mind-and-skill challenges to intense ball games, all the way to the TechLahi Unity Game kung saan nagtagisan sa BlockBlast, Geometry Dash, at Piano Tiles!

Ang lupit ng laban — mabilis, intense, at todo ang energy!

Huge thanks to our amazing Judges, hardworking LG and PSITS Officers, our energetic hosts Kristine Taburada and Xiomarah Abapo, and our supportive mentors Sir Sherwin Lapong, Sir Peter Tagapan, Sir Riel Rivas, and Sir Emjay Calago. Thanks as well to Ma’am Ea Jemimah D. Peñaredondo, our guest speaker, for the inspiring words during the opening ceremony and for officially declaring IT Fest 2025 OPENED! Your guidance and support fueled the whole event!

And of course, to our brave and talented participants — you didn’t just show up… you made the event what it is.

Day 1 proved something big: IT students don’t just join events — WE OWN THEM.

Another meaningful collaboration has been successfully forged between Saint Joseph College of Sindangan, Inc. (SJCSI) and Cognizant Technology Solutions Philippines, Inc. during the Strategic Industry–Academe Linkage Meeting.

The event began with a solemn prayer led by Rev. Fr. Victor Brian Catalbas, VP for Administration and Academic Affairs of SJCSI, followed by a kickoff message from Ms. Cherry Lou Ramirez, Infrastructure Technology Specialist, who set the tone for a productive discussions and collaboration.

Both the academe and industry representatives presented their insights focusing on innovative mechanisms for internship coordination, particularly the use of modern digital tools for real-time submission and monitoring of evaluation reports. On behalf of the HTE, Mr. Ivan Joshua Bigcas, IT Manager, shared Cognizant’s best practices, internship guidelines, and valuable opportunities for aspiring IT professionals.

An engaging Open Forum followed, where both parties exchanged perspectives and ideas to further strengthen mutual understanding and cooperation.

One of the day’s most memorable moments was the Signing and Renewal of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between SJCSI and Cognizant, a testament to their continued commitment to nurturing future-ready IT graduates. A Plaque of Appreciation was also presented to Cognizant Philippines in recognition of their unwavering support for SJCSI’s internship program for Information Technology students.

The gathering concluded with heartfelt commitment messages from both parties: Sir Arnulfo Sibunga Jr., the operations manager, Sir Ivan Joshua Bigcas, and Ms. Cherry Lou Ramirez in behalf of Cognizant, and Rev. Fr. Victor Brian Catalbas together with Sherwin S. Lapong in behalf of SJCSI, affirming their shared mission of strengthening industry-academe collaboration and supporting IT education excellence.

The event culminated with a solidarity dinner, symbolizing unity, partnership, and gratitude.

Adding even greater significance to the occasion was the presence of SJCSI alumni who came from different batches, who are now part of the Cognizant workforce, serving as a living proof of the success and lasting impact of this enduring partnership.
