Vice Chancellor of University of Sindh inaugurates Laar Entrepreneurial Gala 2025, Poster Presentation Competition 2025 and Student Software Project Exhibition 2025
Badin, October 30, 2025 – The Vice Chancellor of the University of Sindh, Prof. Dr. Fateh Muhammad Mari, visited the University of Sindh Laar Campus Badin to inaugurate the Laar Entrepreneurial Gala 2025 organized by the Department of Accounting & Finance, Poster Presentation Competition 2025 organized by the Department of English Language & Literature (DELL), and Student Software Project Exhibition 2025 organized by the Department of Computer Science. He was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Badin, Mr. Yasir Bhatti as Chief Guest, and Pro-Vice Chancellor of Laar Campus, Prof. Dr. Khalil-ur-Rehman Khoumbati. The grand event brought together the academic and creative spirit of the campus, featuring exhibitions and stalls by various departments.
On this occasion, the Department of English Language and Literature presented an impressive collection of academic, creative, and research-based projects reflecting students’ linguistic competence, literary understanding, and socio-cultural awareness. The department’s exhibition featured Tongue Twisters and Multiple Intelligences to demonstrate innovative approaches to language learning and critical evaluation of intelligence. Environmental Science and Gender Studies projects highlighted the integration of literature with social and global issues. The Literature Café offered visitors a space for creative writing, literary discussions, and live readings, showcasing the students’ aesthetic sensibility. The poster presentations included critical analyses of literary works through multiple theoretical perspectives such as Feminism, Marxism, Psychoanalysis, and Humanistic Studies, reflecting the department’s emphasis on critical inquiry and multidisciplinary learning. Adding an artistic dimension, the department also performed Shakespeare’s Hamlet during the closing ceremony, a captivating stage production directed by Sir Muneer Kumbhar and Sir Ali Hakim Nohrio, which received high praise for its expressive acting, creative interpretation, and engaging direction.
The Vice Chancellor, Dr. Fateh Muhammad Mari, appreciated the creativity, research, and innovation displayed by students. He remarked that the projects reflected the University’s commitment to providing modern, quality education aligned with global standards. Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalil-ur-Rehman Khoumbati acknowledged the faculty and students for their dedication and reiterated efforts to develop Laar Campus into a full-fledged university. Deputy Commissioner Badin, Mr. Yasir Bhatti, lauded the students’ talent and announced the establishment of a modern academic and research centre at Badin Gymkhana to assist candidates preparing for CSS, SPSC, and other competitive exams.
The event concluded on a note of pride and inspiration, attended by faculty members, students, dignitaries, and media representatives, marking it as a remarkable celebration of academic excellence, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit at the University of Sindh Laar Campus Badin.
