🌸 International Women’s Day 2026 at IHS–UAF 🌸

Under the visionary leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zulfiqar Ali, the Institute of Home Sciences, University of Agriculture Faisalabad, celebrated International Women’s Day 2026 under the theme “Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL Women and Girls.”

The seminar began with a welcome note by Dr. Imran Pasha (Dean FFNHS) and a preamble by Prof. Dr. Beenish Israr (Director IHS), highlighting the importance of empowering women through education and awareness.

Insightful talks were delivered by Dr. Fozia Naseem on women’s legal rights and Dr. Naeema Mansoor, a renowned gynecologist, on women’s health and wellbeing. Honorable guests Uzma Jabeen Raja (MPA Punjab) and Dr. Najma Afzal also shared valuable perspectives on women’s empowerment.

Before the awareness walk and after the seminar, the distinguished guests also visited the Main Library at UAF and interacted with faculty and students.

The celebration concluded with an Awareness Walk in front of the Clock Tower at UAF, symbolizing solidarity and commitment to gender equality. ✨

🌸 International Women’s Day Celebration 2026 🌸

The International Women’s Day seminar featured a welcome address by Dr. Imran Pasha, Dean of the Faculty of Food, Nutrition, and Home Sciences, who appreciated the efforts to promote awareness about women’s rights, health, and empowerment. The preamble of the activity was presented by Prof. Dr. Beenish Israr, Director of the Institute of Home Sciences, highlighting the importance of celebrating International Women's Day and the role of academic institutions in empowering women.

The Institute of Home Sciences, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, proudly celebrated International Women’s Day 2026 under the theme “Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL Women and Girls.”

The event featured inspiring discussions on women’s rights, legal awareness, and women’s health. We were honored to host Guest of Honor Uzma Jabeen Raja (MPA Punjab) and Dr. Najma Afzal, who shared valuable insights on women’s rights and government initiatives for women’s empowerment.

Our distinguished guest speaker, Fozia Naseem, Assistant Professor of Law at Government College University, Faisalabad, University Attorney and Legal Advisor of the Women Development Centre, highlighted the legal rights of women in light of Islamic principles and national regulations, and emphasized awareness about protection against harassment.

The second keynote speaker, Dr. Naeema Mansoor, a renowned gynecologist, shared valuable insights on women’s health at different stages of life. With more than a decade of professional experience in women’s healthcare, she discussed important health challenges faced by women and emphasized the importance of early awareness, preventive care, and regular medical consultation.

Before the awareness walk and following the seminar, all the distinguished guests visited the Main Library of the University of Agriculture Faisalabad, where they interacted with faculty and students and appreciated the academic resources available for research and learning.

The celebration concluded with a Women’s Day Awareness Walk in front of the Clock Tower at UAF, symbolizing solidarity and commitment to gender equality.

This impactful event created awareness and inspiration among women across the UAF community, reinforcing the importance of rights, health, education, and empowerment for all women and girls.✨

Under the visionary leadership of Prof. Dr. Beenish Israr, Director of the Institute of Home Sciences, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, we successfully hosted an insightful international webinar.
The session featured Prof. Dr. Moez Allslam Ezzat Faris, Professor of Human Nutrition and Dietetics at Applied Science Private University (ASU), Jordan, who shared expert knowledge on the health benefits and clinical applications of the Ramadan fasting model.
The event was meticulously organized by Dr. Nizwa Itrat at the Institute of Home Sciences, ensuring an engaging and informative experience for all participants.
