The Krumian's Economics Society (KES) is a student-run organization supported by the faculty of the Economics Department, Karakoram International University that is dedicated to promoting a multidisciplinary approach to Economics.

Today, the Krumians Economic Society organized a session on the topic “The Climate Crisis as a Crisis of Capitalism: Perspectives from the Global South.”

The guest speaker was Mr. Zaigham Abbas.He is a former lecturer of Political Science at Government College University Lahore, currently working for Asian People's Movement on Debt and Development.

Students from different departments such as Economics, English, International Relations, and Environmental Science took part in the event. The session was very interesting, informative, and motivational.

In the end, there was a question and answer session where students shared their thoughts and asked questions.

Finally, Dr. Jamal, Head of the Economics Department, thanked the guest speaker and appreciated the efforts of the Krumians Economic Society for organizing such a wonderful event.

The Krumian Economic Society organized an insightful session titled “Youth Empowerment and Digital Opportunities in Gilgit.”
The main objective of this event was to create awareness among students about freelancing, digital skills, and career opportunities in the IT sector.

The Guest of Honour, Mr. Tehseen Abbas, Chairman Binary Hub, delivered an engaging and informative talk. He introduced the students to the vision and initiatives of Binary Hub, discussed various IT-related courses, and highlighted digital platforms that can help young people build successful careers. He also shed light on the scholarship programs offered by Binary Hub to support talented youth.

In the concluding session, Dr. Jamal, Head of the Department of Economics, and Dr. Kifayat, Coordinator, expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the guest and presented him with a token of appreciation for his valuable contribution.

The Krumians Economics Society KIU held its orientation session on oct 20 , welcoming new students to the Department of Economics.
The chief guest of the event was DR Sajjad.
Dr. Jamal Hussain, Head of the Economics Department, faculty members, and new students were also in attendance.

Key speeches were delivered Dr Sajjad , Dr. Jamal Hussain, highlighting KIU's academic excellence, departmental research, and commitment to social causes. Additionally,sir Nisar Alam gave an informative presentation for the new students, introducing them to departmental resources.

The primary goal of this session was to familiarize students with the department's resources, promote a sense of community, and encourage participation in extracurricular activities, setting the tone for a productive academic year ahead.

On 28th August , YEC Collaboration With Krumains economics society forMentoring Session. The session focused on two significant them, Surah Al-Hujurat and Digital Skills.

Students from various departments actively participated in the event. Through this session, they not only gained valuable insights into the moral and social teachings of Surah Al-Hujurat but also enhanced their awareness about the importance of digital skills in today’s academic and professional world.

The session was graced by the presence of Dr. Jamal, Head of the Department of Economics, who attended as the Guest of Honour. His encouragement and support added great value to the program.

Towards the conclusion of the session, certificates of participation were awarded to the students, recognizing their involvement and commitment.

This initiative served as a meaningful step in combining spiritual guidance with modern-day skills, thereby contributing to the holistic development of students.

انتہائی فخر اور عزت کے ساتھ، کرومیئنز اکنامک سوسائٹی، شعبہ اقتصادیات، قراقرم انٹرنیشنل یونیورسٹی (KIU) نے اپنی کابینہ (2024–2025) کے ایک یادگار، متحرک اور کامیاب سال کے اختتام پر ایک خوبصورت اعزازی تقریب کا انعقاد کیا۔

یہ باوقار تقریب شعبہ اقتصادیات کے سالانہ ٹرپ کے دوران، حسین وادی بغروٹ میں منعقد ہوئی، جہاں قدرتی خوبصورتی کے ساتھ ساتھ ایک شاندار فئیر ویل لمحہ تمام طلبہ کے لیے ناقابلِ فراموش بن گیا۔

اس تقریب میں صدر سکندر حیات اور جنرل سیکریٹری فرزانہ بتول کو ان کی مثالی قیادت، انتھک محنت اور بے لوث خدمات پر خصوصی ایوارڈز سے نوازا گیا، جبکہ کابینہ کے دیگر اراکین کو میڈلز دیے گئے تاکہ ان کی ایک سالہ بھرپور خدمات کو سراہا جا سکے۔

کابینہ 2024–2025 نے صرف شعبہ اقتصادیات کی سطح تک محدود رہنے کے بجائے، کرومیئنز اکنامک سوسائٹی کو پورے KIU میں ایک روشن اور فعال نام بنایا۔ سیمینارز، ورکشاپس، تعلیمی پروگرامز، اور بین الشعبہ جاتی ہم آہنگی کے ذریعے، اس ٹیم نے نہ صرف طلبہ کو بہتر مواقع فراہم کیے بلکہ سوسائٹی کی پہچان کو ایک نئی بلندی دی۔

اس کامیاب سالانہ سفر کو Respected Sir HOD ڈاکٹر جمال حسین اور دیگر تمام اساتذہ کرام نے بے حد سراہا۔ انہوں نے صدر سکندر حیات کی قیادت کو خراجِ تحسین پیش کیا اور انہیں ایک بہترین ترجیح، باصلاحیت قائد اور نوجوانوں کے لیے مشعلِ راہ قرار دیا۔ تقریب کے آخر میں ان کے لیے نیک تمناؤں اور دعاؤں کا اظہار بھی کیا گیا۔

اختتامی خطاب میں صدر سکندر حیات نے اپنی پوری کابینہ، Respected Sir HOD ڈاکٹر جمال حسین، تمام اساتذہ کرام اور شعبہ اقتصادیات کے تمام طلبہ کا دل سے شکریہ ادا کیا، جن کے تعاون اور حوصلہ افزائی سے کرومیئنز اکنامک سوسائٹی کو ایک نئی منزل تک پہنچایا گیا۔

آخر میں کابینہ کے مرکزی اراکین کو ایک سالہ تجربہ کی سرٹیفکیٹس بھی پیش کیے گئے، جو ان کی محنت، تجربے اور عملی قیادت کا منہ بولتا ثبوت تھے۔

یہ دور مکمل ضرور ہوا، لیکن جو بصیرت، قیادت اور لگن اس کابینہ نے دکھائی، وہ آنے والی نسلوں کے لیے ایک روشن مثال کے طور پر زندہ رہے گی۔
