People ‘died’ all the time. Parts of them died when they made the wrong kinds of decisions — decisions against life. Sometimes they died bit by bit until finally they were just living corpses walking around. If you were perceptive you could see it in their eyes; the fire had gone out... you always knew when you made a decision against life. The door clicked and you were safe inside — safe and dead. ~Anne Morrow Lindbergh

Having someone who can be your rest is everything.

You may be strong and independent but admit it, you can’t always hold everything together. There are days where the world just gets too loud and tiring and it just makes you crave for nothing but rest. And sometimes, rest comes as a pair of eyes that glow when they catch a sight of you, a gentle pat in the back saying “you did great today”, or a smile that drives your worries away without making any sound at all. Sometimes rest comes as a walking being with a heartbeat.

This world? It’s naturally chaotic; but sometimes to get all your exhausted energy back, you just need to be reminded of one thing—that at the end of a long tiring day, there will always be arms you can come home to.

Dear Students of the English Department,

We would like to take this moment to acknowledge and celebrate four of our esteemed colleagues, Muhammad Asim and Muhammad Ali, Eman Fatima, and Mahnoor Nawaz as they bid adieu to our beloved college. Asim has served as the President of the Character Building Society, while Muhammad Ali, Emaan Fatima, and Mahnoor Nawaz worked as senior members of our Character Building Society. They have dedicated their time and efforts to organizing and conducting various seminars and programs that have had a significant impact on the student experience.

Their contributions and unwavering commitment to their work have not gone unnoticed, as they have recently been awarded a Certificate of Performance from the college. As proud members of the English Department, we would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations and appreciation for their exceptional efforts.

As they embark on a new chapter of their lives, we are confident that the skills and experiences they have gained here will take them far. We do not doubt that their future endeavors will be marked by the same level of excellence and dedication they have shown throughout their time with us.

This is a bittersweet moment for us. While we're happy that they will be embarking on new journeys, we will miss their enthusiasm, energy, and presence within our department. We'd like to take this opportunity to express our deep appreciation for the time and effort they have put into making a difference in the lives of our students.

Once again, congratulations Asim, Ali, Emaan, and Mahnoor. We hope this achievement is the first of many more to come.

I have a theory that the moment one gives close attention to anything, even a blade of grass, it becomes a mysterious, awesome, indescribably magnificent world in itself. I have tried this experiment a thousand times and I have never been disappointed. The more I look at a thing, the more I see in it, and the more I see in it, the more I want to see. It is like peeling an onion. There is always another layer, and another, and another. And each layer is more beautiful than the last.
This is the way I look at the world. I don't see it as a collection of objects, but as a vast and mysterious organism. I see the beauty in the smallest things, and I find wonder in the most ordinary events. I am always looking for the hidden meaning, the secret message. I am always trying to understand the mystery of life.
I know that I will never understand everything, but that doesn't stop me from trying. I am content to live in the mystery, to be surrounded by the unknown. I am content to be a seeker, a pilgrim, a traveler on the road to nowhere.
