Cohort II Training & Coaching Program for Debate, Speech, and Declamation Competitions Resumes at Isra University
The Training and Coaching Program for Debate, Speech, and Declamation Competitions successfully resumed of Cohort II from Saturday, 27 September 2025. The training, organized under the umbrella of the Directorate of Student Activities and Athletics (DSAA), continues to provide students with a platform to strengthen their oratory, reasoning, and public speaking abilities in preparation for competitive forums. The sessions are currently being led by Ms. Aisha Lashari, a renowned trainer recognized for her work in capacity building and communication skills.
Ms. Aisha Lashari expressed gratitude to the University for initiating such a timely and impactful program aimed at empowering students beyond the classroom. Dr. Saad Baloch, Additional Director of Student Activities and Athletics, welcomed the trainer and students highlighting the significance of this initiative in grooming articulate, confident, and critically aware student representatives for inter-university competitions and public forums. Gracing the Workshop on Emergency Response at Workplace as Chief Guest the Commissioner Congratulates the Timely Concept of Help
Isra University Hyderabad, under the Directorate of Student Activities & Athletics, organized a Workshop on Emergency Response at Workplace: Floods, Fire, Electric Shocks & Accidents on September 17, 2025, emphasizing the importance of preparedness and workplace safety.
The event was graced by Chief Guest Mr. Fayaz Hussain Abbasi, Commissioner Hyderabad Division, Prof. Dr. Hameedullah Kazi, President & CEO Isra Islamic Foundation, and Dr. Ahmed Waliullah Kazi, Vice Chancellor Isra University. Distinguished guests included Mr. Javed Iqbal, Secretary, Hyderabad Road Safety Traffic Management, Mr. Aslam Deswali, President Hyderabad City Welfare Association, Deans, Directors, Faculty & Students.
In his address, the Chief Guest, Mr. Fayaz Hussain Abbasi, commended Isra Islamic Foundation for its noble works and also Isra University for organizing this timely workshop and emphasized the governmentโ€™s commitment to strengthening disaster preparedness and community resilience. He highlighted the pressing need for awareness programs that empower youth to act effectively in times of crisis, particularly during natural disasters such as floods and earthquakes, as well as workplace hazards. His gracious presence added great value to the event and was warmly appreciated by the university leadership and participants.
Dr. Ahmed Waliullah Kazi, in his welcome remarks, appreciated the participation of students, faculty, and experts. He stressed the importance of academic institutions in promoting a culture of safety and preparedness, noting that universities must not only impart knowledge but also instill practical skills that save lives in emergencies. Prof. Dr. Hameedullah Kazi, reflected on the moral and collective responsibility of institutions to safeguard society against both natural calamities and workplace accidents. He underscored the role of values, discipline, and civic sense in reducing risks and urged students to take such training seriously for the betterment of the community.
Afterwards the Chief Guest along with Speakers and invited guests were decorated with traditional souvenirs. The technical sessions were conducted by Mr. Roshan Mahesar, Head of Rescue 1122 Hyderabad, who shared effective response strategies for floods and accidents, including a live CPR demonstration, and Engr. Umer Akhter, Head of Health & Safety Department, K-Electric, who delivered an informative session on fire safety protocols and handling electric shocks in detail. He also conducted an activity of extinguishing fire.
Special guests Mr. Javed Iqbal and Mr. Aslam Deswali also appreciated the initiative, encouraging students to actively engage in safety training and to spread this awareness within their communities. The workshop concluded with a group photograph of dignitaries, faculty members, and students, marking a successful step towards building awareness and preparedness for emergencies in both workplaces and society at large.

Isra University Holds 3-Day Commemoration of 1500 Years of Milad-un-Nabi ๏ทบ

Hyderabad, September 1โ€“3, 2025 โ€“ Isra University, under the Directorate of Student Activities & Athletics, organized a three-day commemoration of the 1500 years of Milad-un-Nabi ๏ทบ, celebrating the blessed life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad ๏ทบ.

The event was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Hameedullah Kazi, President & CEO of Isra Islamic Foundation, and Dr. Ahmed Waliullah Kazi, Vice Chancellor, along with deans, faculty, and students. Renowned international Qurra from Egypt, Al-Sheikh Qari Yasir Hafni and Al-Sheikh Qari Shaban Ramdan, graced the opening day with soul-stirring recitations. Talks by scholars, including Muhammad Usman Qureshi of Al-Burhan Academy, highlighted the Prophetโ€™s ๏ทบ exemplary character, while Naโ€™at recitations added spiritual depth.

Day Two featured the first round of the Qiraat Competition with 30 students from Isra University and affiliated schools. Ten finalists were selected for the concluding day.

On Day Three, M***i Tahir Abbasi (Jamia Binoria) spoke on womenโ€™s rights in Islam, while M***i Saad Javed delivered a talk on the Prophetโ€™s ๏ทบ Farewell Sermon as a universal charter of human rights. The final round of the Qiraat Competition crowned Noor Bibi Memon (Isra Foundation School) as first prize winner, followed by Younes (Isra School) and M. Huzaifa (Isra University).

The ceremony concluded with prize distribution, certificates of appreciation, and a group photograph. The commemoration reflected Isra Universityโ€™s commitment to promoting Islamic values and the eternal message of Prophet Muhammad ๏ทบ among the youth.

Isra University Hyderabad proudly hosted the Inter-University Futsal Championship on 12 August 2025 as part of its Independence Day Celebrations under the theme โ€œMarka-e-Haq: Operation Bunyan-um-Marsos.โ€
The action-packed event brought together futsal teams from Shaheed Allah Bux Soomro University (SABS University), Sindh University Jamshoro, Sindh Agriculture University Tando Jam, Government College University Hyderabad, Mehran University of Engineering & Technology (MUET) Jamshoro, Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences (LUMHS) Jamshoro, and the host institution, Isra University fostering a spirit of sportsmanship, unity, and competitive excellence.
The championship delivered thrilling encounters, with the final match proving to be the highlight of the tournament. Sindh Agriculture University Tando Jam and Sindh University Jamshoro battled to a tense 0โ€“0 draw in regular time, pushing the contest into a penalty shootout. In a dramatic display of nerves and skill, Sindh University Jamshoro clinched the championship title by winning 8โ€“7 in a sudden-death penalty shootout, while Sindh Agriculture University Tando Jam secured the runner-up position.
The event was graced by the presence of Prof. Dr. Hameedullah Kazi, President and CEO, Isra Islamic Foundation, along with esteemed Vice Chancellors Prof. Dr. Ikram Din Ujjan (LUMHS Jamshoro), Prof. Dr. Tauha Hussain Ali (MUET Jamshoro), Prof. Dr. Altaf Siyal (Sindh Agriculture University Tando Jam), Prof. Dr. Amjad Ali Arain (Government College University Hyderabad), Prof. Dr. Khalil-ur-Rehman Khumbati (Sindh University Jamshoro) and Dr. Ahmed Waliullah Kazi (Isra University).
Prof. Dr. Hameedullah Kazi warmly welcomed all the Vice Chancellors upon their arrival at his office. During the opening ceremony, in a gesture of cultural pride and warm hospitality, Prof. Dr. Hameedullah Kazi and Dr. Ahmed Waliullah Kazi presented Sindhi Ajraks and commemorative shields to the Vice Chancellors in attendance. Sindhi Ajraks were also presented to the Sports Directors of the participating universities.
The championship was more than just a sporting event it was a celebration of camaraderie, cultural exchange, and inter-university collaboration. It reaffirmed Isra Universityโ€™s commitment to promoting not only academic excellence but also extracurricular distinction, especially in commemoration of Marka-e-Haq: Operation Bunyan-um-Marsos.

Isra University Marks 14-Day Celebrations of Independence Day and Commemoration of Marka-e-Haq: Operation Bunyan-um-Marsos

Isra University, Hyderabad, marked Pakistanโ€™s Independence Day with immense zeal and national spirit through a series of activities spanning from 1st to 14th August 2025. The celebrations also included the observance of Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir and paid tribute to the historic Marka-e-Haq: Operation Bunyan-um-Marsos, highlighting the courage and sacrifices of the Pakistan Armed Forces.

The program commenced on 1st August with a dignified flag-hoisting ceremony and an opening seminar that set a patriotic tone for the events to follow. Over the course of two weeks, the university organized a diverse range of activities including debates, declamation contests, quiz sessions, and awareness programs that allowed students to express their passion for the country and gain knowledge of its history. Alongside these intellectual engagements, art and poster exhibitions displayed the creativity of students who captured the sacrifices of national heroes on canvas.

Cultural and sports events added color and vibrancy to the celebrations, encouraging healthy competition and promoting a spirit of unity among participants. In addition to on-campus activities, Isra University students also represented the institution in external tournaments such as badminton, table tennis, and cricket championships held at various universities, further showcasing their talent, discipline, and sportsmanship.

The festivities reached their peak on 14th August with a grand celebration that featured a flag-hoisting ceremony, the singing of the national anthem, an award distribution ceremony recognizing outstanding student achievements, and a cake-cutting ceremony symbolizing unity and joy. The evening was further illuminated by a spectacular fireworks display and a lighting show at midnight, which lit up the campus in national colors, adding to the spirit of patriotism and festivity. Patriotic speeches, skits, and songs performed by students created a powerful atmosphere of pride and unity. Distinguished guests and university leadership addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of nurturing patriotism, resilience, and a sense of responsibility in the youth for the nationโ€™s progress.

The 14-day celebration successfully brought together students, faculty, and staff in a spirit of national pride and collective reflection. It served not only as a commemoration of Pakistanโ€™s independence but also as a reminder of the sacrifices made during Operation Bunyan-um-Marsos. Isra University reaffirmed its commitment to instilling national values and preparing its students to play a constructive role in shaping the future of Pakistan.

A group of students from the Faculty of Engineering, Science & Technology at Isra University, Hyderabad participated in a technical visit to the Space & Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) Satellite Control Facility, Karachi on June 17, 2025. The visit, organized under the Directorate of Student Activities & Athletics, aimed to provide students with first-hand exposure to cutting-edge developments in space science and technology. The visit was open to students from the BSCS, BSSE, BSIT, BEEE, BECE, and BEME programs. Out of a large pool of applicants, 30 students were selected based on their CGPA merit to attend this prestigious technical visit.
Upon arrival, students were warmly welcomed by SUPARCO officials and given a comprehensive presentation and displaying a video about SUPARCO and its domain. Afterwards, the delegation toured the facility of SUPARCO including the highly sophisticated Labs. The program included insightful Q&A session with leading scientists, and a tour of Pakistan's space research infrastructure. SUPARCO also hosted the delegation refreshments and provided informative sessions on Pakistanโ€™s progress in satellite development, space research, and atmospheric sciences.
The visit served as an inspiration to the future scientists and engineers of Isra University, offering them a platform to understand the real-world application of their academic learning. The event was coordinated by Dr. Saad Baloch, Additional Director of Student Activities & Athletics, and Mr. Asghar Mughal, Lead Software Architect, ensuring smooth planning and ex*****on. This visit reflects Isra Universityโ€™s continued commitment to excellence in education and experiential learning through industry-academia collaboration.
