We are pleased to celebrate the recent research contribution of Dr. Gulfam Murtaza and Dr. Basharat Javed, whose paper, with other world-class researchers, has been published in the prestigious journal Group & Organization Management, titled “𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐰 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐫𝐚-𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬’ 𝐏𝐬𝐲𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡.”

This research advances our understanding of leadership dynamics by examining when and how leaders begin to withdraw their extra-role investment in teams, particularly when psychological expectations between leaders and employees are perceived to be breached.
