Postdoc Research Fellowship Workshop 2024-2025 Concludes at IIUIโs Faculty of Education
The Faculty of Education at the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) successfully hosted the second Postdoc Research Fellowship Workshop for the 2024-2025 batch from February 17 to 21, 2025.
The five-day event brought together scholars, policymakers, and research practitioners for rigorous academic discourse and skill development.
Dr. Azhar Mahmood, Chairperson of the Department of Educational Leadership and Management, and Dr. Fouzia Ajmal, Incharge Academic Affairs, inaugurated the workshop. Key sessions covered research ethics, academic writing, supervision strategies, and data management.
Mr. Sulaiman Ahmad, Director NAHE HEC, outlined HEC policies, including disability support, anti-harassment measures, and substance abuse regulations. Prof. Dr. Fauzia Janjua, Dean of the Faculty of Languages and Literature, led discussions on literature reviews and academic writing coherence. Dr. Zia ul Haq, DG IRI IIUI, emphasized the broader impact of postdoctoral research.
Proposal presentations, overseen by Dr. Asad Abbas Rizvi, Dr. Muhammad Munir Kayani, and Dr. Munazza Mahmood, provided constructive feedback on research methodologies. Dr. Abdul Rahman Saad Alajlan delivered insights on data management, while Dr. Shahid Soroya, DG Pakistan Institute of Education, reinforced the principles of academic integrity.
The workshop concluded with a closing address by Dr. Azhar Mahmood, summarizing key insights and future directions. Participants left equipped with enhanced research skills, contributing to academic excellence and scholarly collaboration.
