Today we proudly celebrate IST Alumni's academic and professional excellence with Pakistan's second indigenous electro-optical satellite orbiting in the Space. IST Alumni, Mr. Naeem Ullah Khan, was part of the core team responsible for this project of national importance. Belonging to Aerospace Engineering Batch -3, Mr. Naeem Ullah Khan has since contributed to nation's space program in various domains. IST takes great pride in excellence of their Alumni and resolve to be at the forefront of Pakistan's scientific and technological endeavours.

IST Robotics Society and Department of Avionics Engineering, successfully conducted a 2-Day Remote Control (RC) Aircraft Design Workshop at Westminster Academy, Islamabad on 16–17 February, 2026.

The workshop provided students with hands-on exposure to RC aircraft design fundamentals, aerodynamics concepts, and practical building techniques. Participants actively engaged in learning, designing, and understanding the real-world applications of avionics engineering.

It was an exciting experience to inspire young minds towards innovation, technology, and aviation.

Competing against 30+ teams from across Pakistan, the team proudly continues its winning legacy for the third consecutive year an outstanding achievement in innovation, teamwork, and aeronautical excellence.

Students from Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, and Computer Science were interviewed for their potential placement as part of the Qadri Group's LFM Program
