Islamabad International University Pakistan (IIUP) is pleased to announce the 2nd International Seerah Conference 2026, to be held on September 25–26, 2026, under the theme:
“The Contemporary Moral Crisis in Muslim Society and Its Solutions in the Light of the Prophetic Seerah ﷺ”

The conference is being organized in collaboration and partnership with distinguished academic, religious, and intellectual institutions, including the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII), National Rahmatul-lil-Alameen & Khatam-un-Nabiyyin Authority (NRKNA), Islamic Research Institute, International Islamic University Islamabad, and Islamic Education & Relief Foundation (IERF).
About the Conference:
The contemporary Muslim world is facing a range of rapidly evolving moral, intellectual, social, economic, and cultural challenges. These challenges affect not only individuals, but also families, educational institutions, communities, states, and the Ummah as a whole.
In view of these pressing realities, the 2nd International Seerah Conference seeks to provide a distinguished academic and intellectual platform for examining the contemporary moral crisis from an Islamic perspective and for exploring effective and practical solutions in the light of the Holy Qur’an, the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and the Prophetic Seerah.
The conference aims to study the causes, manifestations, and consequences of the contemporary moral crisis and to highlight the timeless Prophetic methodology for character building, moral development, social reform, responsible citizenship, and the establishment of a virtuous society.
Particular emphasis will be placed on the responsibilities of the individual, society, state, and Muslim Ummah in addressing contemporary moral challenges.
The conference will also explore how Islamic educational, religious, social, legal, and media institutions can contribute to moral reform and the development of a conscious, responsible, and ethically strong Muslim society.
The conference is expected to bring together distinguished scholars, researchers, university professors, intellectuals, academics, and postgraduate students from Pakistan and abroad, providing an opportunity for the exchange of scholarly perspectives and the development of practical recommendations.

Theme III: The Moral Crisis in Muslim Society and the Role of the State in Addressing It

2. Legislation, Promotion of Moral Values, and Effective Enforcement of Laws: A Study in the Light of Prophetic Principles.
3. The Practical Application of the Contemporary Legal System in Combating Fake News: A Study in the Light of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) and the Prophetic Seerah ﷺ.

2. The Role of the Media and the Moral Responsibilities of the Ummah: An Analytical Study in the Light of the Prophetic Seerah ﷺ.
3. Moral Reform of the Ummah through Educational Institutions in the Light of the Prophetic Seerah ﷺ.
4. The Reformative and Da‘wah Responsibilities of Scholars and Religious Leaders in the Light of the Prophetic Seerah ﷺ: A Research Study.
5. The Global Moral Crisis and the Role of the Muslim Ummah in Addressing It in the Light of the Prophetic Seerah ﷺ.
6. Introducing Islamic Morality and Promoting It Internationally in the Light of the Prophetic Seerah ﷺ.
Guidelines for Researchers:
1. Each research paper must include an Abstract and Keywords, with the abstract consisting of 250–300 words.
2. The first page of the research paper must include the following information: Full Name, Position/Designation, Email Address, and Phone Number.
3. The research paper should be submitted on A4 paper, with a length of 5,000–6,000 words.
4. Footnotes should be used for citations and references.
5. Sources, references, and documentation should follow the Chicago Manual of Style.
6. Jameel Noori Nastaleeq, font size 16, should be used for Urdu text; Traditional Arabic, font size 14, for Arabic text; and Times New Roman, font size 14, for English text.
7. The research paper must be original and unpublished. It must not have been previously presented at any conference or published in any journal, and it must be based on the author’s own research.
8. The research paper must be prepared in accordance with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Anti-Plagiarism Policy.
9. All submitted papers will be considered for inclusion in the conference after undergoing an impartial peer-review process.
10. The decision of the Academic Committee regarding the acceptance or rejection of research papers shall be considered final and binding.

This conference is not merely an academic gathering; it is an academic, intellectual, and reformative initiative aimed at reviving Islamic moral values and drawing upon the Prophetic methodology to address the challenges of the contemporary world.
It seeks to strengthen cooperation among scholars, researchers, academics, and institutions and to contribute to the development of a Muslim society founded upon faith, knowledge, morality, responsibility, justice, tolerance, and noble character.
The conference provides an opportunity to examine contemporary moral challenges through the rich legacy of the Prophetic Seerah ﷺ and to develop scholarly recommendations that can contribute to meaningful individual and social reform.
We warmly invite scholars, researchers, university professors, intellectuals, academics, students of knowledge, postgraduate researchers, and all those interested in academic and intellectual affairs to participate in this important scholarly forum.
Researchers are encouraged to submit original research papers addressing the conference themes and contributing to the academic discussion on the contemporary moral crisis and its solutions in the light of the Prophetic Seerah ﷺ.
Let us come together in the light of the Prophetic Seerah ﷺ, address the moral challenges of the present, strengthen the values of our communities, and envision a future founded upon knowledge, faith, morality, and responsibility.
