IBA Community College Jacobabad successfully organized a five-day Continuous Professional Development Training for its faculty members from 27th to 31st July 2026.

The Training brought together 30 senior and newly appointed faculty members for a series of consecutive, interactive and professionally enriching sessions aimed at strengthening teaching practices, classroom effectiveness, leadership skills and overall institutional performance.

Throughout the training, participants attended carefully planned sessions covering a wide range of essential academic and professional areas. These included teaching pedagogy, soft skills, child and student psychology, classroom management, positive discipline, activity-based learning, effective teaching and learning strategies, motivational techniques, educational leadership, technological interventions in education, parent-management techniques, assessment methods, feedback mechanisms, paper setting and Bloom’s Taxonomy.

The sessions were facilitated by experienced academic leaders and subject specialists of IBA Community College Jacobabad. Mr. Sajjad Hussain, Principal, IBACC Jacobabad, conducted sessions on teaching pedagogy, educational leadership, management, technological interventions in education and soft skills. Mr. Abdullah Khan, Section Head Higher Secondary, facilitated sessions on classroom management and effective communication with parents. Mr. Bhooral Khan, Section Head Early Childhood Education, shared valuable insights into teaching excellence, positive discipline and student psychology. Mr. Haseeb Hussain Solangi, Subject Specialist Chemistry, accompanied with Ms. Soughat Qamar, Section, Primary Section Mr. Murtaza Ali, EST Science, delivered comprehensive sessions on Student Learning Outcomes, ERQs, CRQs, MCQs, assessment methods, paper setting, career counselling and Bloom’s Taxonomy with its practical applications.
The training remained highly interactive and provided participants with opportunities to engage in discussions, group activities, reflective exercises and practical demonstrations. The facilitators effectively connected theoretical concepts with real classroom situations, enabling faculty members to explore practical solutions to common academic and classroom-management challenges. Special emphasis was placed on learner-centred teaching, positive discipline, student motivation, assessment quality, professional teacher attitudes and the responsible use of technology in education.

Furthermore, Mr. Nazim Ahmed from Oxford University Press (OUP), Training and Professional Development Coordinator, conducted a comprehensive and highly engaging session on teachers’ professional development at IBA Community College Jacobabad. After completing his scheduled sessions, he generously extended the training by sharing additional practical guidance, effective teaching strategies and valuable professional insights to help faculty members strengthen their classroom practices, professional competencies and overall teaching performance. IBA Community College Jacobabad sincerely acknowledges and appreciates Mr. Nazim Ahmed’s dedicated efforts, valuable contribution and continued commitment to the successful implementation of CPD 2026.

On the fifth and concluding day, Ms. Sadia Nisar, Deputy Registrar, Sukkur IBA University, and Manager HR Directorate of IBA Community Colleges and Schools, conducted highly productive and engaging sessions for faculty members and non-teaching staff separately.

During the faculty session, she provided detailed guidance on HR Practices & policies and relevant institutional matters. Through interactive role-play exercises and practical real-life examples, she helped participants understand workplace policies, professional responsibilities, accountability, fairness, discipline and the importance of maintaining a positive organizational culture.
A separate session was conducted for the non-teaching staff on Office Management Skills. Ms. Sadia Nisar engaged participants in practical activities related to workplace communication, teamwork, coordination, time management, documentation, professional conduct and the effective handling of routine administrative responsibilities. Her participatory training approach created an open and engaging learning environment in which staff members could discuss workplace situations and identify practical solutions.
The concluding day also featured a certificate-distribution ceremony, during which Ms. Sadia Nisar, Deputy Registrar, Sukkur IBA University, awarded certificates to the participants in recognition of their active participation and successful completion of the five-day professional development program. The ceremony acknowledged the commitment, enthusiasm and dedication demonstrated by the participants throughout the training.

IBA Community College Jacobabad expresses its profound gratitude to the Worthy Vice Chancellor of Sukkur IBA University, Prof. Dr. Asif Ahmed Shaikh, and the Worthy Director of IBA Community Colleges and Schools, Dr. Noor Hussain Shar, for providing this valuable professional-development opportunity and for their continued support, guidance and commitment to strengthening the academic and administrative capacity of the institution.

*Marka-e-Haq & Istehkam-e-Pakistan Ceremony Successfully Organized at IBA Community College Jacobabad *

In a remarkable display of patriotism, national unity, and solidarity with the Armed Forces of Pakistan, the grand Flag Hoisting Ceremony, Tableau & Speech Program was successfully organized on 06 May 2026 at IBA Community College Jacobabad under the national campaign “Marka-e-Haq & Istehkam-e-Pakistan.”
The prestigious event was jointly organized by the District Administration Jacobabad and IBA Community College Jacobabad with the objective of promoting patriotism, national unity, peace, and awareness among the youth regarding the importance of a strong, stable, and prosperous Pakistan.

The honorable Deputy Commissioner Jacobabad, Mr. Shahzad Ahmed Sahi, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, accompanied by his Staff Officer Assistant Commissioner Jacobabad, Mr. Abu Bakar Sadhayo, along with other distinguished officers, dignitaries, and key representatives of the district administration.

The ceremony witnessed enthusiastic participation from Heads and representatives of various government departments of District Jacobabad, including the School Education Department, College Education Department, Health Department, civil society members, educators, students, and notable citizens, reflecting a collective spirit of national solidarity and unity.

The event formally commenced with the National Anthem, followed by inspiring and colorful tableaux and patriotic speeches presented by students from IBA Community College Jacobabad, The City School Jacobabad Campus, and Public School Jacobabad. The performances beautifully portrayed the sacrifices of Pakistan’s Armed Forces, national integrity, peace, unity, resilience, and the vision of a strong and stable Pakistan. The students’ remarkable presentations received immense appreciation from the audience and dignitaries.

The Principal of IBA Community College Jacobabad warmly welcomed the honorable Chief Guest, departmental heads, delegates, faculty members, and participants. In his address, he paid rich tribute to the heroes of Marka-e-Haq and acknowledged the unparalleled sacrifices of the Armed Forces of Pakistan for safeguarding the sovereignty and stability of the country. He emphasized that educational institutions play a vital role in nurturing patriotism, unity, discipline, and responsible citizenship among the youth.

Speakers on the occasion highlighted that the core objective of the “Marka-e-Haq & Istehkam-e-Pakistan” campaign is to create awareness among the younger generation regarding patriotism, peace, national harmony, and the significance of a united and progressive Pakistan, enabling youth to contribute positively towards the country’s development and prosperity.

The event concluded with a graceful Award Distribution Ceremony, where medals and appreciation awards were presented to participating students in recognition of their outstanding performances, dedication, creativity, and patriotic spirit.
The successful organization of this prestigious national event reflects the shared commitment of the District Administration Jacobabad and IBA Community College Jacobabad towards promoting national awareness, youth engagement, cultural harmony, and the values of unity, peace, and patriotism among future generations.
