On 18th May 2026, the C70 room in the Department of Biotechnology, Jinnah University for Women, came alive with a special moment for the TriBio Society — its Transition and Induction Ceremony 2026.

It was an occasion of both endings and new beginnings. The outgoing Executive Council was appreciated for their efforts, while the new members stepped into their roles with fresh energy and responsibility.

The oath-taking was led by Ms. Yusra Arshad, President - TriBio Society, as members formally committed themselves to the society’s vision. This was followed by a badge handover ceremony, symbolizing continuity between outgoing and incoming teams.

Letters of recognition were presented to the outgoing Executive Council in appreciation of their services by Founding Faculty Member Dr Alveena Zehra and Chairperson Department of Biotechnology Dr Ayisha Aman Ullah.
The ceremony concluded with remarks appreciating the efforts of students and encouraging them to continue strengthening the society.

The Department of Biotechnology extends its best wishes to the newly inducted Executive Council and looks forward to their continued efforts in strengthening TriBio Society and promoting biosafety, biosecurity, and bioethics awareness among students.

🌟 Successfully Conducted Workshop 🌟

The Department of Biotechnology, Jinnah University for Women, in collaboration with Amal Academy, successfully conducted the workshop “Crafting Effective Resume and Cover Letters – Master Your First Impression.”

The workshop provided students with valuable insights into creating impactful resumes and professional cover letters, highlighting the importance of presenting skills effectively, tailoring applications for specific opportunities, and strengthening professional profiles for future career success. The session was highly interactive and beneficial, equipping students with practical tools to confidently prepare for academic and professional opportunities.

Students of the Department of Biotechnology (3rd Year & Final Year) proudly attended the AgriFood: Global Investment & Partnership Conference & Expo held on 14th May 2026 at ICCD Office, Karachi, organized by The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) in collaboration with the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development.

Under the supervision of Dr. Ayisha Amanullah and Ms. Sabeen Nadeem, students actively participated in insightful sessions, interactive workshops, and discussions with policymakers, investors, business leaders, and industry experts. The conference highlighted investment opportunities, export potential, strategic partnerships, and innovations in Pakistan’s agri-food sector.

Adding to this achievement, Biotechnology students also showcased their innovative projects, Eco Write and Cow Rush, reflecting their creativity, research potential, and commitment towards sustainable and impactful solutions. 🌱✨📚🚀

It is a matter of great pride 🎉 to share that our students presented their projects on sustainable bio-based solutions with remarkable dedication and professionalism 👏. The exhibition highlighted their innovative ideas 💡, critical thinking 🧠, and commitment towards addressing environmental challenges 🌍 through scientific approaches ⚗️.

These projects were developed by 1st Year and 3rd Year students 🎓, reflecting their innovation 🚀, creativity 🎨, and commitment towards addressing environmental challenges through scientific and technological approaches 🧪💻. All projects were carried out under the supervision of Ms. Sabeen Nadeem, Lecturer, Department of Biotechnology 👩‍🏫, whose guidance and support played a vital role in the success of this exhibition 🌟.
