The Laptop Distribution Ceremony under the Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme was successfully held on Friday, 27th February 2026 at Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University Lyari, Karachi.

The students of department of International Relations recieved laptops from head of department Mr. Nisar Ahmed Chandio.

The ceremony concluded with appreciation for the distinguished guests and congratulations to all deserving students who received laptops under this prestigious scheme.

The Department of International Relations BBSUL organized one day seminar, on 17th February 2026 at the video conference room BBSUL.

The guest speaker was Former Ambassador Hassan Habib, and a top diplomat. He talked on the topic " Iran- USA relationship in 2026 and stakes on geopolitics and global security.

Later on, the head of the department Mr. Nisar Ahmed on the behalf of BBSUL & IR dept had given token of thanks speech to Ambassador Hassan Habib.

The guest speaker was Ms. Mariam Baloch, a global affairs expert and she talked on the topic " the new great game of USA, Russia and China in contemporary global politics. Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University Lyari, Karachi is pleased to inform all graduates that, in continuation of the earlier notification, the Third Convocation will be held as per the following details:

📅 Date: Friday, 10th April 2026
📍 Venue: Pearl Continental (PC) Hotel, Club Road, opposite PIDC Civil Line, Karachi

🎓 Eligibility:
All Graduate and Postgraduate students who completed their degrees during Academic Years 2023–2024 to 2025 are invited to apply.

Inter-Departmental Quiz Competition held at BBSUL on Iqbal Day.

An Inter-Departmental Quiz Competition was held today, 11th November 2025 at Video Conference Room of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University Lyari Karachi (BBSUL) in connection with Yom-e-Iqbal.

The event was organized by the Student Welfare Officer (SWO) Mr. Abdul Shakoor Baloch and his team.

After a tough and competitive round among various departments, the IR Department students clinched the first position. The winning team members were Dua and Sameen Khan Yousufzai, who performed exceptionally well throughout the contest.

Head of the Department of International Relations, Mr Nisar Ahmed Chandio was also present on the occasion. He also congratulated the winning students of IR dept, and expressed gratitude and thanked, the SWO Mr. Abdul Shakoor Baloch and his team for providing this learning opportunity.

Later, Worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Syed Hussain Mehdi called the winning students to his office and appreciated them by stating that the students of IR dept and BBSUL are proving their talent and dedication in every field, and bringing pride to the department and the university.
