The Sindhi Cultural Day was proudly organized by the Pakistan Pharmacist Association (PPA) Sindh on 13th December 2025 at the Four Seasons Banquet Hall. The event was celebrated with great enthusiasm, reflecting the rich culture and heritage of Sindh. Pharmacists from across the entire Sindh province actively participated, making the gathering a strong platform for professional unity and cultural harmony. Faculty members and students of the Faculty of Pharmacy (FoP), Hamdard University, Karachi also attended this cultural event, adding academic spirit to the celebration. The event successfully strengthened professional bonding while promoting Sindhi traditions through a vibrant and memorable cultural experience.

The Faculty of Pharmacy, Hamdard University organized an industrial visit to Hoechst Pakistan for the 4th and Final year students on Wednesday, 29th October 2025, accompanied by three faculty members. The visit aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical exposure, providing students with a valuable opportunity to observe real-world pharmaceutical manufacturing and quality assurance processes.

During the visit, the students were warmly welcomed by the Hoechst Pakistan team and given an insightful presentation on the company’s history, operations, and product portfolio. They toured various departments, gaining firsthand knowledge about modern pharmaceutical practices, regulatory standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). The session greatly enhanced their understanding of the industrial aspects of pharmacy and the professional roles within the pharmaceutical sector.

Hoechst Pakistan extended generous hospitality to the visiting group, offering refreshments and lunch, which added to the pleasant experience. The visit proved to be an enlightening and memorable learning opportunity for the students, helping them connect their academic studies with industry practices and motivating them to pursue successful careers in the pharmaceutical field.

The IGNITE MED-X and Students Advisory Committee, Faculty of Pharmacy (FoP), Hamdard University organized a Career Counselling Session on 23rd October 2025 at the Faculty of Pharmacy. The session aimed to guide and inspire pharmacy students by providing valuable insights into diverse career paths within the pharmaceutical industry.

Distinguished industry professionals were invited to share their expertise and experiences, including Mr. Zohaib Ansari (Territory Manager, Abbott), Ms. Ayesha Javaid (Product Manager, ATCO Pharma), and Mr. Mazher Shah (Manager Quality Assurance, Getz Pharma). The speakers offered practical advice on professional growth, workplace challenges, and the evolving roles of pharmacists in various sectors, engaging students through interactive discussions and real-world examples.

The event concluded with a token of appreciation and shields presented to the guest speakers in recognition of their valuable contributions. The session proved to be an enlightening experience, motivating students to explore their career options with greater confidence and vision in the dynamic field of pharmacy.
