Govt.Monotechnic Institute Malir Colony Karachi In the year 1994, Govt. approved scheme for the establishment of Govt. Monotechnic Institute Mali Colony, Karachi.

costing Rs.21.501 million (Capital Rs. 10.718 + Revenue Rs. 10.783 million) vide administrative approval no. # SO (PD-1) (102) 93-94 Dated 21-04-1994. Subsequently due to escalation to prices for civil & electrical works for purchase of Tools, Equipment, Machinery, Furniture, Fixture & Books etc a revised scheme at an estimated cost of Rs. 23.829 million (Capital Rs. 17188 + Rs. 6.641 million) was

approved. With the approval of C.D.G.K, in order to secure safe the newly constructed building of the Monotechnic Institute, Evening shift of D.A.E course in C.I.T was started from the academic session 2004-05. However regular Morning Program will be introduced as soon as staff & equipment is provided by the Govt. The Institute can also offer in 3 years D.A.E in C.I.T & Electrical Technology in Morning Shift and 3 years D.A.E Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics and Civil Technology in Evening Shift

On 27 February 2026, the Cardboard Computer Project provides Class IX T.S.C students with hands-on learning to understand basic computer hardware components.
