We are proud to share that a collaborative research project titled: “Drosophila Melanogaster Potential Model for Thrombosis” conducted by the Dow Fly Research Lab & Stock Center, in partnership with Loyola University, Chicago was initially submitted for poster presentation at "Thrombosis & Hemostasis Summit of North America" (THSNA) 2026, the research underwent a rigorous evaluation process and was recognized as one of the top-ranked abstracts. In recognition of its excellence, it was elevated to an oral presentation.

The study was formally presented on March 19, 2026, in Portland, Oregon, USA at THSNA-2026 by Dr. Fakiha Siddiqui .

Congratulations to the entire research team of Dow Fly Research Lab & Stock Center on this achievement and for representing academic excellence on an international platform.

Congratulations Dr. Sanya Shabbir, on the successful defense of her Ph.D. thesis.

Her research, titled “Investigating the Teratogenic Effects of Antibacterial Agents in Drosophila melanogaster,” was jointly supervised by Prof. Nusrat Jabeen and Prof. Mushtaq Hussain.

This achievement marks the first Ph.D. graduate from the Dow Fly Research Lab & Stock Center, Dow College of Biotechnology, Dow University of Health Sciences.

We are proud to share that BS Final Year students Gohar Ali & Muhammad Ahmed Riazuddin have won the Best Poster Award at the 5th International Biomedical and Digital Health Conference.

The conference was jointly organized by the Institution of Engineers Pakistan and NED University of Engineering and Technology.

Their poster titled: "Scorpion Venom Induces Multiphasic Composite Hormesis Response in Drosophila melanogaster S2 Cell Line"
